Won't turn on after heavy use. Acts like a power switch is broke. Less than 3 months old. Is there a reset or fuse to hit?

The vacuum just stopped, dead, while I was vacuuming after about 20 minutes usage. Is there a reset button? It won't turn back on even after 30 minutes of being turned off. It is only a few months old and has been used infrequently.

I found out there was a large dusty clog in my vacuum. I had to clean it out then leave it un-plugged for quite a long time.

There is an automatic shut-off on the vacuum so it doesn't over heat and it won't turn back on it you don't leave it un-plugged and cleaned out.

I may have figured out a way to make this thing work. If you find that the problem is the flimsy, floppy piece of plastic that I mentioned above, I think that the thing to do is figure out a way to make the narrow sticking out fin-like section that activates the switch wider. I think what happens is that fin slips over to one side or another and then does flip the switch. What I just did is cut a hard rubber washer into two half circles (or approximate half circles) and attached those on each side of that fin. So now I have a nice wide switch activator. I attached the pieces with exterior mounting tape. I imagine that some sort of adhesive could be used too, as long as it is not something that would dissolve the plastic.

It's a crappy design. Take the two long bolts off that hold the piece with the handle on. You will see the actual switch inside. The switch on the handle activates the real switch via a flimsy floppy piece of plastic. Ours sticks on...what a peice of junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Check fuse of course it may be the mains lead fractured usually where it enters appliance or defective switch. to test, bypass switch, switch on and see if it goes. be careful - disconnect from mains

My hoover wind tunnel just quit while vacuuming. It is dead??? Two years old used about every other week? Any suggestions?

Some Wind Tunnels by Hoover have a poor design in the switch on the handle. Sometimes the switch does not turn on all the way and will stop running. Other times you can't turn the unit off.

Agitator bar on UH4700RM wind tunnel doesn't turn

Unfortunately you machine is a re manufactured vacuum and has a 6 month warranty. (The RM suffix indicates this ) You should take it to your local vac shop and let them look at it. It's probably a minor issue.

Hi, I have the Hoover d14194 bagless pet vacuum..when I switched it on it worked but kept cutting out, I emptied it and cleaned the filters but now it won't even switch on.is there something I can

You could check the motor brushes, if they are worn and check for loose wire connections.
Another possibility is that there may be a break in the lead, plug it in and shake the lead, if it starts and stops you have probably found your problem with a broken lead.

Hoover U5780-900 Windtunnel a month 1/2 old just started stopping when it is running and wont turn back on for a few hours why?

The motor has a thermal protection sensor on it. So your motor may be going bad, it is pulling to many amps for some reason, could be a clog somewhere or a bad bearing in the motor.

Hoover Windtunnel Bagless bolt fell off

With this self propell series, the entire bottom needs to come apart to re-install the nut. if it is one month old I would highly recommend taking it in for warranty service. What plastic is melted?

if the belt is more than six months old then change it even if it is not broken. then replace your filters if that doesnt work than check the hoses for a clog drop a marble down them and make sure it comes out.
