I have a Venturer portable dvd player dual 9" screens. I put a DVD in and it still remains on the blue screen as if there was not a dvd in it. Normally it will turn the dvd as soon as you close the door and start, but it will nt even do that. You were also getting a screen taht said dvd as a creen saver type look, but that does not appear either. help? I have tried to clean it by spraying air in it, and have tried it with both ac and dc, but no change.
After loading it say no ddisc

Venturer PVS7287 Twin Mobile DVD Player 8" LDC Screens - I was getting a blue screen with the DVD not loading. I could see the ribbon cable was just slightly off from the side of the optic eye board. I gently pushed it back on with the tip of a screwdriver. I didn't have to take the player apart, as you you can see the optic eye and the cable that attaches to it when the door is open and the DVD removed. Be careful with the ribbon cable, it is very thin.

tried many others and same result. any other thoughts?
I have the venturer pvs1262 and when I turn it on, I get only a grey screen. I adjust the brightness of the screen; but the machine does not play any dvd or even give an error message.
I've checked the manual but that wasn't much help.
Any ideas?
