Venturer PVS177W Portable DVD Player Questions & Answers
I hope you are checking to make sure that the charger(s) you are inserting into the player are the proper voltage and polarity for the model. This is why every device comes with a charger dedicated to the unit. Many devices use the same size plug but voltages and polarity can vary. The wrong charger inserted into the device may destroy the charging circuit.

What I did with mine is check eBay for a 12 volt, DC LCD monitor adapter. These normally have sufficient amperage to handle these players.
I did a search on eBay today using search phrase:
"new power supply ac adapter for LCD monitor 12v 5a"
and came up with one for about $14.00 with shipping. You will need to check the plug when you get it and, if it does not fit, get one from Radio shack or, as I did, cut one from an old adapter I had laying around.
Most of these units require that the positive side goes to the center conductor of the plug (check the diagram on the player case over the plug to be sure) so make sure you set it up the way the diagram shows or very bad things will happen to your player.
You may be able to find a 12 volt adapter at Radio shack or somewhere else but these units need (according to the specs) about 1 amp from the supply to work and charge correctly. You "may" be able to get by with an 800 milliamp supply but I have not tested this.
Good luck
