Other than pressing the power button, the device will turn on if one of the four buttons on the face of the device are pressed (calendar, notes, task list, etc). So check to see if they might be getting pressed by accident. Unless it is protected by a hard cover, it is possible that a button is being pressed by accident in your pocket, backpack, suitcase or wherever you carry it.

Let me know if that helps.

PS - The device will also turn on if a reminder or alarm is set.

My Palm Tungsten e2 keeps turning itself back on...it stays off for about 15 seconds after pushing the power key and then comes on again. Anything I can do?

I too was having this problem all of a sudden. I found another post about an apparent bug in the Palm OS. Do you have a birthday or appointment in the calendar with reminders that started in 2009? Try removing the reminders or making them start in 2010. I did that and my Palm now stays off when I power it off.

Device turns itself on automatically a few seconds

Hello there and welcome to lfete at Fixya, the Support Team

Maybe there is a setting for the stand by mode in the phone, you have to adjust that. Go to the settings in the phone and find the phone settings and adjust these settings.

Hope that helps

Tungsten E2 wont power on

Turn it on pressing the reset at the same time or take out battery and unplug/plug the battery. Your battery may have died. If this is helpful, post as such. If it is a fixya, post as such. I had an E2, can tell you alot about it. TY

Tungsten E

Hi : This means your battery must be as dead can be. Therefore it seems to be getting straight power only when you plug in the charger. Or your on/off button is dead. Are you able to turn it off/on when you have charge plugged. If so then I suggest getting a new battery for the E2 Palm and you should be back up and running. If this is not the case then it is your on/off button in which it could be just the contact or the switch itself. I can suggest someone in US if you like, else I can handle it but I am in AUS.
