Your device's local memory is full. delete all old messages/mms/emails and try again. also delete or uninstall programs.

Remove your memory card,re-start the phone.Ensure you can access your messages. If you insert your memory card without having to turn off the phone (eg nokia 6300) then put it back.At least it worked for me.

I have a nokia 5310 cell phone. i manage to do all the necessary things to reset the setting ive even hard reset. then i tried to see if it already done, still the error message storage not ready then all...

there's an error "storage not ready" on your nokia 5310? remove battery, the sim card and the micro sd card, leave it like that for a minute or two then put everything back in. ones it turns on, and if still gives the same error message, dont do anything and leave it like that for atleast 5 minutes. if its still like that, try putting removing the micro sd card (memory card) and turn it back on. if it still gives the same error message, its already the phone (unit) that needs to be checked by your local technician.

post back if you still have questions! =)

I hav d nokia E63..! & i cannot send any msgs.....it says "memory full , close some applications first...(& i hav absolutely no applications on except messaging)...... before it said that...

hi, the memory might truly be full...check your memory status and see if truly it is full....if after checking, you realized that it is full, then you will have to delete some messages and delete some applications that you use less often..but, if you check your memory status and you realize you still have space, then it means you will have to scan for virus.
cheers

How to copy messages from Phone memory to Memory card in Nokia 6630

Just use the Nokia PC suite. Using the Nokia PC suite you can copy your msgs from your phone memory to your memory card. Then in the phone select your MSG storage location to memory card drive. That way the msgs you receive will be stored in the phone memory.

Can't access anything on Nokia 6300. It locked up and gives message of: (Message storage memory not ready) No Nokia place around to take it to. Please help!

The phone's memory is full, which causes the error message and lock ups. This error prevents you from freeing up memory by deleting messages.

Try the following (taken from the Nokia support forum): http://discussions.nokia.co.uk/discussions/board/message?board.id=hardware&thread.id=7775

1. Delete unused names/numbers from the address book to free up memory. (Perhaps write down the ones you want to keep for later re-entry)
2. Once a critical threshold is reached the msg inbox indicator will blink on
3. Enter inbox and DELETE as many messages as you can before phone freezes up again
4. If phone freezes or you get the error message again, restart and keep deleting from the phone book until it allows you hassle-free msg inbox access as per normal (but don't forget to continue deleting thos messages).
