No power to the monitor

I guess my question is straight forward. The monitor just suddenly stopped working. It appears no power is reaching the monitor. Can these be fixed or are they pretty much throw away? sorry for my ignorance. I am a limited user

Same problem. I bought two of the LG flatron monitors for my office and both of them have stopped working for no apparent reason. The monitors were working fine one day and then suddenly they woukld not power on. The first on stopped working about a two months ago and now the other is doing the same thing. It acts as if there is no power to the monitor. It will not power on. Does anyone have any suggestions other than never ever buy another LG product. Thank you.

I have the same problem with an LG flatron 19" LCD monitor. Turned the computer on and went to do something else. When I came back to log into windows there was no power to the monitor (no power light on). I've tried different power cords, but nothing changed.

Same problem. Suddenly, no power to the monitor. No lights, nothing. Pressing the power button produces no response. I tried switching power cords, still no power. The outlet does work with other devices, so there is power coming out of the outlet. This monitor is only 1 year old.

I have an LG L19NT 19" LCD Monitor that just stopped working similar to others I've just read. I'm trying to determine if my 1 year warranty is up otherwise it looks like I will be buying a new LCD but not from LG. I shut my computer down and turned the monitor off last night. Got up this morning and I can't power the monitor on. Everything else works just fine so I know there wasn't a power surge.

You can try buying a new power cable (they are very cheap) Also sometimes this sleeping monitors just "come to life" after some time without using them but when this happens it is usually a bad sign.

Machine will not turn on. It's plugged in, and other machines are working. Just suddenly stopped turning on?

Check the power cord to make sure it is fitting snuggly. Possibly change where ti plugs into the socket. If that does not work, it would appear that your machine has reached the end of its life. Usually it is cheaper to buy new than have the broke one repaired.

I have fitted new speakers and checked the connections which appear to be correct if the colour coding is anything to go by, and the monitor shows the speakers running but no sound.

From the computer sound output to the speaker input ... you are right it should be pretty straight forward. Is the vol turned up? Can you test the speakers with a portable radio of some kind? Is there a power supply that needs to be hooked up and does the power supply work?

Can't start up. suddenly stopped working.

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

Screen image appears fuzzy, jumpy and broken up into lines.

gardenman13, I would certainly complain to HP about their w22 monitor!! Find out if the units warranty is still valid and can be swapped-out for a REFURBISHED unit. Your w22 shouldn't be hazy, distorted, or flicker for any reason. My best guess is that it (w22) has problems inside with it's "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" and electronic ballast circuit called an INVERTER circuit, which could also cause the main "switch-mode-power-supply" to go a little NUTS upon STARTUP!! FYI you are dealing with a technology similar to the curlie-Q CFL screw-in light bulbs. Their ballast's are called CONVERTERs (ac to ac) and are cheaper. Your lanps are thinner and straight, hung on rear of your LCD panel. I hope this was informative. Please rate this on fixya. 12fixlouie
