The TV never comes on the 1st attempt, sometimes 2nd but otherwise shuts off. It Usually must be unplugged 1 to 3 times and makes noises powering up and down before a picture will flash on. Once on the picture is fine though. Sometimes control buttons stop working and I must unplug to turn off and start again. What needs to be replaced to fix this power up problem?
Im going to guess that you have crackling and hissing noises, as well as the infamous "click" then nothing when you try to start the tv. This is caused by circuit failure on the main board, which powers up the main inverter to charge the screen. ( a high voltage thing that makes the picture come on) when the board cannot provide a high enough starting voltage, the symptoms you described start happening. It is not an easy fix, and will probably set you back a couple hundred dollars or so to fix. I hope the best for you

It is the lamp, you have to change the lamp, it's in the left side of the tv, have a litter compartiment, opened and take out two screw and take out the change and change it. you have to buy a new one. go to google.com and put the model of the tv and find the price of the lamp.

Replace the three deflection capacitors CP150, CP120 and CP114. You can get the repair kit by that same name from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains the CD with instructions.
