I had just fixed my controller with that problem. Theres a tiny hole on the back of the controller. That is the reset button. Get something really small and thin so it can hit the button. Once done turn on your PS3 and plug up the controller with the usb connector. Once done press the PS button then it will start blinking and then assign a controller number

SOURCE: All lights on Dualshock 3 blink 5 times, then do nothing.

On the back of you dualshock pad next to the L2 button there is a tiny small hole witch looks like it could be a screw hole ! well this is the reset button once you have pushed this you will be able to conect your pad to your usb cable and it work on your console again

SOURCE: PS3 Controller wont turn on?

mine sometimes does that, just try pushing and holding it until the options come up on the screen, then turn off controller. Then try turning it back on. If that doesn't work, turn the ps3 off when its done charging, then unplug it while its off. This should work.

Ok, you've probably already figured this out, but you are in possession of a worthless POS fake PS3 controller. Congratulations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mji_PLB7Tb0

Why is ps3 controler lights are blinking is battery gone or not charge properly thnx to anyone reply plz

I think you need to pair it with the PS3...

How have you tried to pair it?

Usually just plugging in the USB charge cable to controller and PS3 and pressing PS button works. But you may need to press the reset button on the bottom of the controller, then plug in and press PS button.

Dualshock 3 just blinks with all four lights when i plug it into ps3 slim. reset button does nothing but delay blinking. no way of connecting so i dont know if it is charged or charging

Hello and welcome to Fixya. From what your describing it sounds as if your DualShock3 Controller lost it's bluetooth connection with the PS3. Make sure you plug the controller to the PS3 using the USB to miniUSB cable and hold down the PS button for three seconds to see if this resyncs it. If it does not turn your controller around and you will see a small hole. You will need a paperclip or other small long object and insert it into the hole to reset the controller. Next after pressing the reset button on the controller try the same steps that I provided above again. I can tell you that the four lights blinking slowly means the controller is actively charging. I hope you found this helpful and good luck.

The lights come on the playstation, but the screen stays black, and it doesnt read the controller, the controller just keeps blinking.

For the screen try making sure the cable is firmly connected to both your ps3 and your tv. For the controller, plug the controller into you playstation with a usb cord and then press the ps button.

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Heres how you can connect your controller to your PS3.

1. Press the tiny Reset Button on the back of the controller

2. Plug in the USB Connection wire

3. Restart Console

4. When loaded, Press the PS Button

5. Disconnect the USB wire

Then it should have recognised the controller and auto-assigned, hope this works for you
