By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order or print reservation that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

How can you turn off the date stamp on sony cybershot DSC-w570

I had a problem "turning it on"!
It is a complex process to turn on which Canon did in a very Japanese way, - meaning never straight forward.

review previous post:

note time stamp meant for PostCard size pictures ( lower resolution and more square in format). hit function keys as instructed above to get to the "size" of picture. change from Post Card to Large, Medium or any other size. Should solve this.

I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W220 digital still camera. How do i imprint/stamp a date on the photographs that I'm taking? I have many without a date so i forget when they were taken. I had a previous...

I have the same problem and am researching this topic to find an answer. Unfortunately, I think I found an answer that I didn't want to hear; there isn't a date/time stamp with this camera (?). Hard to believe Sony could make such an intelligent piece of equipment and NOT have the capability to date/time stamp...I thought that was a standard specification for ALL cameras now-days. How to set date stamp for canon ixus 860is

:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.
dsc_include_date01_tcm13-520510.jpgTo set the date and time stamp, press the [Menu] button and then use the [arrow down] button to go to the [Date stamp] option in the menu. You can set this to "Date" or "Date & Time". Press the [Menu] button again to exit the menu.

Date stamp

To get the date/time to be on your photos while taking the picture so you don't have to use the software later do this:

When in the mode to take pictures, press the round "Function Set" button and change the recording pixels to "Postcard 1600 X 1200". "Postcard" is the only setting that will allow the time/date stamp to be recorded on the picture.

Then press the "Menu" button and scroll down to "Date Stamp". You can select "Date", "Date & Time" or "Off". You can only do this when your pictures are set to the "Postcard" mode.

Blurry Pics and not able to set date/time

You can only set the date stamp in the “Post Card” resolution mode. Hit the “function” button, go down to the resolution selection (L, M, S, W, Postcard, etc.). Pick the “Post Card” setting. Hit the “menu” button and the “date stamp” menu will be active
