Recovering deleted photos on Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital Camera

I have had success with this... Download the program http://www.asoftech.com/apr/You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Up loading pics

The camera comes with software, if you cannot find the disk, you can download it from here: http://www.canon.ca/inetCA/en/serviceDetail/method/load/id/1/sid/50/mid/2000029/type/D/opt/1 Download this manual http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/4/0900001034/01/DCSDV30_EN.pdf Read pages 16 - 20, they explain all about different methods of downloading all images, just new images or even selecting specific images.

My computer cannot detect my canon SD 750 camera when i try to download my pictures

I discovered a workaround for this problem...I pulled the memory card and inserted it directly into my laptop, which happened to have this type of port. It allows me to pull directly off the card. I still cannot connect via a cable, but this at least lets me get pictures loaded to my computer.

Unidentified images

You think you can try photo recovery software to see if you can rescue the lost photos or movies, here are some you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.

Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your pictures and videos are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the memory card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

Cant transfer pictures to computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How to make date stamp option ON in Canon IXUS70

Hi there, my name is Rob and I can help you.

To put the date stamp in a picture do this:
1) Make sure you have the correct date and time set in the camera. To do this:
Push the function/set button. Press the directional button down to select Date and Time.
Push the directional button to the right then down or up to set the date and time. Then press the function/set button to save it.
Then:
2) Push the selector button up to the camera icon, and press function/set. Scroll down to Date Stamp.
Scroll right to turn on the Date and Time Stamp, then up or down to until it says On.
Press function/set when your done.

That is your solution. Remember once the date/time stamp is embedded in a picture, you can't take it out.
Let me know if you have any further questions, and thanks for coming to FixYa. Please feel free to rate my solution a fixya.

My display screen in black but i can see all other symbols on the display.

It sounds like your display is working, but not getting a signal from the sensor. When you take a picture and open it on your computer, is it blank? If so there is either something blocking the lens (possibly the shutter) or the sensor is not working. If you get a picture on your computer, then it may be something loose in the camera connection between the sensor and the LCD. You can buy a working camera (the same SD750) for less than $50 on ebay I am sorry to say, but it would cost more to fix your camera.
