2 y/ old Samsung DLP TV (HLR6167) - no sound

My 2 year old Samsung DLP TV (Model HLR6167WAX/XAA) does not have sound on the HD channels (just crackling noise). If I unplug the TV and plug it back in then I have sound. I use a digital antenna and the picture is good. My signal strength shows 8-9 bars. Any help is very much appreciated

Samsung Dlp completely shuts off and then all three lights flash

Sounds more like the TV is overheating. The lamp cooling fan may be seized or not spinning fast enough. If the TV gets hot enough to trip the thermal, it could rupture the lamp.
