The charger on the Ipod should have the USB attachment on other end. It's been a while for me but I believe your computer will (or open the new hardware) auto start you into the process of downloading Apple program. Also, my IPad (same cords) you can buy a card reader. I am wondering now if it is capable of reversing the process to add pics to reader from IPad? Can it be used on Ipod? If so, thenyou could just use the memory card. Anybody know?

I have an ipod nano 4gb and i uploaded music from another computer on it. now when i plug in my ipod to my computer, it brings up my old music i use to have on it. so i cleared the old songs on my ipod...

Ipods can only be sync through itunes and no other programs. Also, an ipod can only be sync to one computer at a time. Songs cannot be uploaded from multiple computers. You can transfer files to one computer then sync ipod to that computer only

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 able to download to ipod

Not directly. You can download the pictures to a computer, then upload them to your iPod. If you connect the iPod and the camera or its memory card, you can transfer the pictures from one to the other without storing them on the computer.

Problem about uploading pictures

First, make sure the pictures are in jpg format, and put the ones that you want on the iPod into a specific folder - you can even call it "iPod photos folder" if you want.
Then conenct the iPod to the computer, and then open up iTunes.
Left-click on the tab that says iPod Nano, if it doesn't come up automatically, and then select the Photos tab.
Select the drop down next to the line that says "Sync Photos from," and locate the folder that the photos are stored in.
It will add all photos that are in that folder to your iPod - may take several minutes depending on how many photos you are addding.
Once this option is selected, any photos that you add to this folder from here on out will be automatically added to the iPod whenever you connect the iPod to the computer.
On the iPod Nano, horizontally-biased photos display the best - wil ltake up the full screen of your Nano; but vertically-biased photos wil lstill show up.

Good luck!
