SOURCE: keyboard replacement for toshiba m35x S149

Above the keyboard - between the keyboard and the screen there is a plastic piece that if you take a small screw driver you can pry off just above the keyboard or at the hinges. Be very careful not to scratch. If you are worried about scratching ifixit.com sells a tool called a spudgner that is soft plastic. This is what the pro's use. Once you have that plastic off you can simply unscrew the keyboard.

Be carefull when lifting the keyboard off. It is attached with a thin ribbon. the ribbon is held in with a clip. gently pull on the clip until it release the ribbon. Once you have the old keyboard off simply push the ribbon in the clip and force the clips back down. Then just reverse the previous steps.

Good luck

SOURCE: I suspect that my video card is going bad. It is

To check if the video card is faulty, connect an external monitor to the video port, power up the monitor first and then the laptop.
The video data should automatically divert to the external monitor, if you see a normal Windows image on the external monitor, then the video card is OK and the fault is the LCD screen and or backlight.
If you don't get any images then video card is probably faulty and because it is built-in on the motherboard it cannot be replaced or repaired.
You could replace the motherboard but this might not be cost effective.

By the reviews I see,not the best choice for a dependable machine...that said,it should have at least a 60GB HD,so I don't know what you mean by NO HD? http://www0.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-Toshiba_Satellite_M35X_S149_P1_50GHZ If it's missing,it easy to install one,but if you are not sure of your mech knowledge, bring it to a shop, maybe $20.00 to install.
