When phone opened keypad starts dialing automatically

When I open my phone, it just starts dialing randomly. Or, if you make a call - after you press dial, numbers keep popping up randomly. Normally it's the number 8, but it also does other random things - popping up other menus, etc. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. My phone keeps dialing numbers from my recent calls list.

I have a motion detector that dials three numbers when triggered, but it needs a land line &there is not land line, what do you have or suggest that I can use to dial a cell phone.....

Keep your phone in a very dry area its most likely from water damage, trust me i experienced it.

On my n79 the camera automatically turns on and off randomly and even the keylock get unlocked automatically and randomly every second,the phone get hanged up as the mobile screen turns even when the...

There may be some oxide coating below the keypads, try to open the keypad and dome-sheet beneath and clean the contacts.
Hope this will find a solution for your keypad issues.

Every time I click open a text message I've received, it automatically starts dialing the telephone number the message was sent from.

i think you should better click carefully your phone. Maybe your phone's keypad is just so sensitive that it uses the number of the message number and dials it automatically.. :)

When my mobile is in my bag, it dials random numbers caused by items in my bag pressing against the phone. How can i stop this from happening.The message emergency call 'yes or no' appears.

You can have the keypad locked by opening the menu and setting in phone settings the time requried to lock the key pad. so after using the pad locks and will not dial any numbers.
the calls to emergency is because of this being active.

Keyboard locked message

in settings in your phone it should have something like display settings and then something like keypad settings, when you get there it had the amount of time it will take untill it automatically locks or a setting to stop it all together,
what this setting does is to stop you dialing random things when your phone is in your pocket/bag/ or just rolling around in your car. Eg: dialing a number calling it and wasting your credit/phone plan.
