Proview monitor I bought this new at walmart. It will not turn I took it back and they told me to send it to the maker. so what do I do>

Almost any monitor or computer power cord can be purchased at a electronics store like walmart or staples or even a second hand store like goodwill that is where i get all of my spare cords for the computer repair buisness that i have and i only pay about 3 dollars or less for them most monitor cords are compatable with any computer unless it is a special brand ok I hope this helps you out

Is it a model #47214? If so, I had to take TWO back to the store I bought them from within a 6 month period. I bought mine at Walmart and even without a receipt they exchanged it for an identical model with no proble. The second one did the same thing. I had to keep turning the pot off and on to get it to complete one brewing cycle. The third trip to Walmart, the next better model (47665) was on sale and agin with no receipt, Walmart gave me the purchase price of the faulty model 47214 toward replacing it with model 47665 which is usually $15.00 more, but because the better one was on sale, I actually got a $5.00 refund too!!!!!!! I love Walmart. BUT.......after about 9 months using the model 47665 constantly thru the day, the coffee ran all over the counter and floor. When I checked it out to see if I could fix it, I found the small round gasket the prevents this from happening had come out. I called Hamilton Beach Customer Support at 1-800-851-8900 and explained the problem. The told me the tiny plastic part that held the washer in was broken and I needed a whole new tank. Imagine my surprise when they then informed me that for the nominal fee of $5.00 for shipping, they would send me a whole new tank, NO CHARGE!!!!! I love Hamilton Beach. They stand behind their products and until you contact them for yourself, you'll never realize how wonderful they are. Call them, 1-800-851-8900 and explain the problem. Take the monitor back, it's failing.

I had the same problem with my Proview monitor. I was told by a lot of people it was trashed. I typed in this website ati.amd.com and discovered my ati driver was either missing or some components were missing.
I downloaded the driver and now my monitor is staying on. I don't know if this will solve your problem like it has mine, but it's worth reading up on it.

Since it's still under warranty, I would contact Hamilton Beach Customer Service in Canada and see what they would do for you.
They may even be able to talk you through figuring out what's wrong with it and sending you a part to fix it yourself. Technically, it should be replaced but sending it back at your own expense might end up costing you almost as much as the coffemaker cost to begin with.

I bought Same Monitor Dec. '06 and Jus last week It faded to black and then now doesn't power on. my protection plan sent me a new one that powered on for like 20 secs. So now I have another one coming. I also knows its not my PC cuz I'm using a monitor right now. I think Proview and Circuit City Sucks

Probably a good solution. 17" LCD's are pretty inexpensive these days and probably cost as much to diagnose and fix this one. You can purchase on-line as well. www.tigerdirect.com www.newegg.com Good luck
