Question about Proview PL926WBi 19" LCD Monitor

4 Answers

Proview 900w I bought a proview 900w monitor the other day and am having problems with the resolution settings. It did not come with a cd to install the correct driver, and when i download the driver for it off of proview website and try to update drivers, it says it is fine. But it isn't... i am currently using 1024x768 in display properties...which makes it the CLOSEST to normal looking. Everything looks stretched and horrible! how do I fix this so i can enjoy this nice wide monitor?

I bought a Proview PL926Wbi 900w monitor the other day and am having problems. The screen looks stretched horizontally.

It came with a cd to install the correct driver, but the driver is not on the cd.

When I click on the cd folder that supposedly contains the driver, I get the message that the location does not contain info on this hardware.

I am using 1024x768 resolution in display properties.

Does my Proview PL926WBi 19

Any monitor will work with any computer provided the correct graphics card driver is installed. When you install Vista and you do not install the graphics driver, Windows will default to Generic VGA driver and you will not get the best resolution that the monitor can display.

I have a proview monitor PL926WBI Model 900W

It seems to be that something gets hot inside after a few minutes of operation of the monitor. So I placed a small fan so that air flows thru the monitor and that did it. What gets hot inside , I don't know.

I have a proview 900w and it comes on but only for a couple seconds then the backlights turn off. Does anyone know how this might be fixed?

check your signal cable from your computer or the port itself. one of those might have a problem causing the monitor to go off.

thanks

My monitor does not work right. it says vga not support.. its a proview 17" flatscreen..active matrix tft lcd

I suspect your Computers Display settings need adjustments and or a Driver from Proview installed...therefor if you can get on the net, I would look at FAQ's on Proviews Website, i.e:

http://www.proview.net/Support/FAQ_Question.aspx?pi=2026

hope that helps,

Bastian

Proview wb926wbi monitor

Try changing the resolution to 1440x900. This is the ideal resolution for this monitor.
To change the resolution:
Right click on an empty space on your Windows desktop.
Choose Properties (XP) or Personalize (Vista)
Choose the Settings tab (XP) or Display Settings (Vista).
Slide the resolution slider to 1440x900, then click apply.
If asked whether you want to keep this setting, choose yes/ok.

Note: Not all video cards support this resolution. Updating your video card's (not monitor's) driver may add it.

Proview PRO576 error message "mode not supported" and will show nothing else

Okay, we got a fix by having another monitor hooked up to our computer and going in to display and changing the display settings to a lower setting. The screen resolution - turn it to lower - I guess somehow - the setting was too high for our monitor. Don't know how it changed itself though. Anyway, change it to a lower resolution then re-hook up your monitor and see if it works. The reslution can be pushed back up until you notice the problem again.

Proview 900 series black flat panel monitor

Same problem, and solution 1 given here fixed my Proview 900W. A few of the 470uF caps on the power board were oozing dielectric probably due to overheating. Hopefully the replacements will hang in there for a couple more years...
