My iPhone screen cracked. I replaced the screen and when it was put back together. I get the plain white Screen. The phone is recognized when hooked to iTunes but does not allow you to do anything because the passcode is locked. The phone still rings when called an receives messages. Any suggestions On unlocking or getting rid of white screen. Hard reset doesn't seem to work.

I know of a place here in Winter Park that can fix your screen. They just repaired my Ipod cracked screen. It took about two weeks after the part was miss shipped, but so far so good! I can give you the information if you'd like to call them and drop it off or ship it to them for repair? Please let me know! Chris [email protected]

SOURCE: updated my iphone 32gb 3gs by itune suddenly bricked

Once you updated vian iTunes it has the 3.1.2 software and the new bootloader. It means that CAN'T BE Jailbroken nor UNLOCKED. Can be used with the carriers SIM/USIM who has agreement with Apple in your country only.

How can I replace screen of (iPhone) 6s?

1. Unscrew two screws on the bottom of the phone;
2. Take some vacuum plugs (like the ones that are used to in bathrooms and cars to hang stuff) and suck them onto the screen and pull gently until screen starts to cracking from the frame;
3.Unplug screen;

4. Plug new screen and put it in place crack it together and ***** screws back.

You can also order kit from e-bay or amazon and other places.

Shakey screen and lines across it after 4s screen replaced

Most likely you just got a bad part. As long as you didn't apply too much pressure when putting the screen in, then it's probably just a bad part.

Screen is white but can barely see like the bell that showes when you turn on and off vibrate and a smudge on screen

Put the old one back on and see if you get anything. If not then it is the kit that is bad.

Replaced iphone screen because of cracked glass.Put every thing back together and wont turn on.Tried everything and shows no sighn of life.Doesnt even register on the computer.

You most likely didn't connect a component to the board or one of the ribbon cables. I'd go back into the phone and follow the steps again to try and determine anything that wasn't connected as well as you'd thought.

Thanks

I dropped my iphone on the floor and there is sound coming from it but the screen is completely black, Will i have to buy a new screen?

Hi!

If your screen is not having a crack on it then there is a possibility that it can work again.

But if it has a crack then you need to buy a new screen.

Hope it helps..

Thank you for reaching Fixya.

I replaced the screen on my cracked iPhone 3G. The phone turned on and worked fine, but the home button was unresponsive. So i took the screen/LCD out to check the connections. The phone turned back on and...

put it on DFU mode. then, try to restore it using iTunes.

I believe that you have a problem w/the home button. maybe it's pressed all the time, so the phone cannot boot.

try dismatling the screen again, and check the home button contacts.

if you think the contacts are not ok, try to replace the home button.

if yo thinks there's no problem with the home buttons, try to enter to DFU mode:

1. turn off and connect the iphone to the USB.
2. press and hold power button for 5 sec
3. press and hold power and home button for 10 sec
4. leave the home button pressed until the computer recognize the iphone as a DFU device.
5. restore with iTunes.

Cheers,
Gery
