Door shelf, need to take it apart.

The removeable door shelves (containers) are partly molded white plastic and partly clear plastic (in the front). How can we separate the clear plastic part from the white plastic part? There appears to be moisture and possibly mold inside the clear plastic and we need to remove it in order to clean inside it. Thank you.

Gently squeeze the sides of the clear door to allow its pivot pins to disengage from the surrounding plastic. After cleaning, repeat the process to reinstall it.

SOURCE: How do I put a door seal gasket back on my LG front loader?

If it is apparently just too tight to go back on, then a good place to start is petroleum jelly (vaseline) on the drum where you are trying to fit the gasket to help ease it on. The other possible solition is to remove the gasket completely, soak ot in very hot water for a few minutes and then try to fit the difficul part of the gasket you are struggling with first, then fiot the other end

SOURCE: There is mold on the underside of the door ring.

It cannot be cleaned - it must be replaced.
The rubber absorbs the mold - and you cannot get rid of the smell.
This part is called a door bellow.
It will require disassembly of the machine to replace - and a professional service contractor is recommended.

SOURCE: clothes stained and mold growing on rubber ring

Use a mixture of bleach and water in a spray bottle to kill the mold. Leave door open after washing. Also spray your drum and rinse unloaded to kill the mold on the inner drum.

How to take apart frame from glass shelf on Maytag MFB2055FRZ that hold the baskets under shelf

I seem to be having the same issue with a Maytag refrigerator model M1TXEGMYS01. I would like to thoroughly clean all shelves of this new-to-is refrigerator but I can’t seem to figure out how to remove the glass from the plastic housing. I was able to take the end and central brackets off (that hold the drawers) but I can’t figure the rest of it out... and the manual I looked up didn’t provide any information on separating the housing either. Please see pic attached. Thanks in advance!

Instructions on how to remove and replace control panel and water dispeser on samsung RL 56 GPGBP fridge freezer. Need to change damaged door

water dispenser part comes up as a plastic bottle
no info online on how to replace that

to get to the controller on the door
I always buy the part first so you know how it is secured to the door

with power off
if the main control board is no meant to be removed but the outer door side
see if you have to lift the door seal edge carefully and undo all the screws of the white plastic molding

with that molding removed
see if is is possible to get into the wiring connection of the panel and replace it that way

GE side by side freezer shelves falling down

This appears to be a known problem with at least a couple of GE models (It has been happening in our freezer too). There is a GE Service bulletin at https://customernet.geappliances.com/OTIS/fs/home_images/REF01-10.pdf that seems to describe the fix as them sending out new shelves (and maybe someone to install them?)

I need shelves for the fridge and the plastic shelf at the bottom of the door is broken and needs replacing.

hi there......you havent stated the manufacturer of your fridge...however obtaining shelves for your fridge should be no problem..provided you have the model and serial number and if possible the product code.(a) contact your local your local domestic apliance repair/spares shop....(b) go online to the manufacturers web site...(c) go on line to google enter your fridge details this will provide you with information where to obtain your parts...

the door shelf may be a different issue...if the shelf is part of the door lining then you will need a relpacemant door

Can i take apart the door shelves of my subzero for cleaning

You can take them off the door by lifting up and out at an angle but do not try to disassemble them. You can soak them in hot water to try and get rid of spills in the seams.

Mold

When you open the door note the differences in screws and around the hinge. There are 4 to 6 that hold the inner and outer panel together. the inner panel has the bubble window and the other the outer plastic. Once the screws are out the panels should pop apart, a slight edge holds them and if you want dis assemble the hinge too to make it easier.
