Columbia FRS-S14 two way radios

I have a pair of two way radios made by Columbia Telecommunications Group. Models FRS-S14. one is serial number A09 11242 the second is A09 11263. I got these off a friend a year ago. No manual. The units will not communicate with each other. All funtions seem to work and the transmit symbol comes on when you transmit, but the opposite unit does not pick it up. I tested them with my scanner and both transmit, but on different frequencies. Any advice? Thank you

They do have the same channels, I just cant figure out why they dont communicate with each other. I just happened to have my scanner and when i transmitted from each one, i notice they were picked up on different freqs. THis may be irrelative but i wanted to supply as much info as possible for a solution

Are you just looking for a way to program them to the same freqs? But if they are FRS family radio then they should have the same channels in them.

Columbia two radios have been stored away for at least three years. Now the grand kids cant get them to recharge? Where can we get new BATTERIES?

First check the insides of the radios. If they have been corroded by battery acid you most likely cannot recover them. Check that before you scrounge the Earth for obsolete batteries.

I need replacement batteries for a Columbia FRS14ND model 2 way radio. Which type of battery and where can I get them?

your local watch repair man can replace the battery or you can go to bestbuy.com or radioshack.com and identify the battery there by entering the watch makers information.

I have some frs14nd radios and am looking for rechargable batteries for them. Contacted the company several years aga and they said they would send me some but never heard back. can you help, thanks randy

I couldn't locate a battery pack specifically marketed for the FRS14ND, but information I did find indicates that your radios will operate on standard AAA batteries.

Manual and battery charger needed

I'm still looking for the manual (?).. it's more of a pamplet as I recall.

The battery charger is...
AC/DC Adapter Model 0750200DF
Specs are:

120 V AC 60 Hz to 7.5 /v 200ma

If you can't find the right adapter, you can probably get one of the universal adapters that will work.

I also recommend that you replace the batteries with "Brand New Original Pair Battery For FreeWalker RD-810, RD-820, RD-008, RD-820 Features
