It could be the encoder strip which is responsible for the proper movement of the cartridge carrier in the carrier assembly inside the printer. Try to check to this article on the Lexmark website to give you an idea on how to re-seat the "plastic ribbon".

The information helped me to re-install the encoder strip, on 4 different ways since on the photo's it was not clear where it should be attached and if the arrow should be in front and above.
When giving a print command the cartridge goes to the midden but no further actions. Neither paper is taken, the wheel doesn't turn/ does nothing.
How should I connect the encoder strip ?
