HP Compaq dc 7800/HP L1710 Monitor No signal input (VGA)

HP Compaq dc7800 Series Business Desktop Computers does not recognize an video input signal on my HP L1710 Monitor. This is a used computer without a hard drive (I'm trying to format a hard drive during this process). I believe that this machine was used for dual monitors and thinking that they removed the graphics card but did not enable the existing integrated graphics card on the machine. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Monitor malfunction, says VGA Input: No Signal and goes to sleep

If it was your video card, you would have no picture at all. Try to boot in safe mode and do into your options and make sure your hibernation is not on. Only other thing I can think of, it could be *********** board.

SOURCE: DVI no input signal......VGA input active.

Are you running an additional Video card? Or are you using the built in one.
You might try cleaning the connector / plugs with acetone from finger polish remover or de=natured alcohol.
Never jam anything on a computer.
If its an add on card, remove it and reboot. Shut down and reinstall card and reboot.
keep me posted please,

Compaq monitor wf1907 is saying dvi input/ no input signal. vga input/ no input signal. monitor says its goin to sleep

You should check the video cable and also try it with another PC since it is telling you that it is not sensing the video signals from your PC.

HPL1506 The input signal from pc display foe few seconds and goes off error recommended setting - 1024 x 768 - 60Hz

It can be that your PC video resolution is set higher than 1024 x 768 @60Hz for the monitor to display correctly.

Try this per HP:
HP Business Monitors - What Do I Need to Do When the Message Sync out of Range Displays on the Monitor? ISSUE: What do I need to do when the message Sync out of Range displays on the monitor? When the video card signal exceeds the frequency allowed for the monitor, the following error message may occur: Sync out of Range SOLUTION: To avoid the message, lower the resolution or vertical frequency of the video card. Reboot the system and use the VGA mode to force the video card driver to lower its resolution. Follow these steps.
  1. Shut down and restart the system. For consumer systems such as HP Pavilion desktop PCs, push the Power button once. For commercial systems such as HP business desktop PCs, hold down the Power button for five seconds.
  2. Immediately after seeing the HP/Compaq logo screen, press F8 at system startup to initiate the bootup menu.
  3. Scroll down to highlight Enable VGA Mode , and press ENTER .
  4. After Microsoft Windows completes its bootup process, access the Display Properties and select a desired resolution, which is compatible to the connected monitor.
