I Installed * gig of Geil Ram on my gigabyte x38-ds5 motherboard plyas up

Im running a quad core 2.4ghz 768mb 8900 gtx vid card and 4gig of geil ram. I use windows vista 64bit home premium.
I installed 8 gig of geil ram and mty computer did really weird things.
Wouldnt act stable and wouldnt get into awindows install with out a blue screen of death and a stop 0x00000024 error and also a vid card error.
I ended up putting in the old ram still got the errors, but finally got windows installed and upgraded bios but i need to know whether it safe to put the 8 gig of ram in or is there always going to be problems.

    Causes crash on boot.
    ATI VPU crash/recovery on games.
Winrar has error decompressing large files.
All sticks of 1066 Patriot Extreme RAM fine.
    Gigabyte X38-DS5, latest bios.
    Clean install of Vista 64.
When running on 2 sticks everything is fine

880gma e35 detects only 4 gb instead of 8,(2x4 dual simm), brand geil

Hello try to download a manual here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3817#manual

Try only to use the white or the blue sockets, when inseting the modules. This depends how the mainboard is build, parallel or serial ram bank.
But one of the modules could have a defect .

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory.

Good luck

I have a Acer AX1200-U1510A AM2+ Motherboard and i would like to upgrade the processor, ihave 4 gigs of mem and a 1 gig Gigabyte Gt 610 graphics card. I only have a 240 watt power supply what processo

Should work with a processor of the same socket type. I'd seriously upgrade the psu myself. Personally I'd upgrade the motherboard and processor to a quad core, and get the fastest ram, look at ebuyer.com, you can buy a bundle upgrade package for less than you may think. :)

Jetway motherboard 939 GT4-SLI-G will only accept 3.5 gig RAM and not 4 gig RAM as per specifications. It does not run on gaming applications when 4 gig inserted (4 x 1 gig). Any solution?

If you are running a 32 bit version of windows it will only see up to 3.5gig of ram in your system no matter how much ram you put in there.
This is down to 32 bit windows only being able to address a maximum of 3.5 gig of ram.
Windows 64bit can address a far larger amount of ram and is why you will see all windows computers running 4gig or more of ram having Windows 64bit installed.
As you have said your computer is running Windows 7 32bit the only way you will get your computer to see the whole 4gig of ram you have installed is to upgrade to Windows 7 64bit.
Hope this answers your question and helps you out.

Power loss after 2 seconds from booting up.

Best solution I can think of is Step by Step

Remove those items again and Step by Step, 1 by 1 install each item.

If each item installs ok one by one, then leave in one item at a time. Slow process yes, but you might find which item is causing the conflict.

If you install smething an the machine fails Remove it and the Item before it, then install the Item that failed and try it again.

If it fails then it could be the item not the PSU.

If it fails because of all the items... Then you may need to upgrade your PSU

Gigabyte k8m800-8237 won't boot with 2nd gig ram installed.

Could have been dusty. Find a copy of Memtest and run it to check things out. Errors could mean a bad stick or bad slot.

Does Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 support 2 gb of ram

Yes, this mothereboard can actually supports up to 4GIG of RAM , so probably the problem lies on the RAM that you have, If you're using 2 or more piece or ram to this motherboard make sure they are the same brand because sometimes you will have problem like this if the memory are not the same brand...this is the link for the complete specs of the motherboard http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Gigabyte-Gigabyte-GA-945P-S3-945-Core-2-Extreme-Core-2-Duo-1066FSB-LGA775-DDR2-ATX-Motherboard-w-Audio-Gigab

Hope that helps..........
