Purchase of workstaion/server for three diemnsion simulation

We are writing a fresh proposal for research  funding in the area of particle physics and cosmology. We have to do three dimensional simulation on a lattice of at least 1000X1000X1000 dimensions. Ten to pwoer ten to ten to power twelve lattice points are to be used, so we need huge memory. Please advise us about the configuration of the server/workstation whose cost lies  in the range 10-12-15 lakhs rupees/about 25 to 30 thousand dollors . We have to give budget justifcation in the proposal and write the configuration. Would these SMP machines with octa core with some 8 or 16 processors will do. The programmes that we are running will be a serial programme, we need speed as well as memory for a scalar serial code. Please write the maximum RAM possibel.

Get a Dell Precision Series with dual quad core Xeons, if using windows, get XP 64 bit, as normal XP x86 only handles 3.5 Gig of ram. Dell Precision T7400 will take 64 Gigs of ram.
For a dual quad core Xeon, 4Gig ram, 500 Gig HDD, DVD Writer, 22 in LCD, about $4200

Did wei-hock soon get paid to fake findings on global warming

From Wikipedia: Wei-Hock "Willie" Soon (born 1966)[1] is an aerospace engineer and a part-time employee at the Solar and Stellar Physics (SSP) Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.[2][3] He is also a receiving editor for the journal New Astronomy.[4] In addition to writing technical papers on the physics of climate change, Soon co-authored The Maunder Minimum and the Variable Sun-Earth Connection with Steven H. Yaskell (2004). The book treats historical and proxy records of climate change coinciding with the Maunder Minimum.[5]
Soon is a prominent critic of the scientific consensus that human activity is a significant contributor to climate change, and has argued that most global warming is caused by solar variation.[6][7] Soon's arguments are generally dismissed by climate scientists as unsound, but he is frequently cited by politicians opposed to climate-change legislation.[2][8]
Soon's research has been largely funded by the fossil-fuel industry, which provided over $1.2 million in funding, including $409,000 from The Southern Company, $230,000 from Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, and hundreds of thousands of dollars from Donors Trust. This fact was not disclosed in at least 11 papers published since 2008,[2][9] which violated the ethical guidelines of most of the journals where they were published.

How do i get application forms for grant

It depends on which kind of grant you wish to get. There are grants for individuals, non-profit organizations, busines, government agencies, etc. some grants have on-line e-applications. Some have detailed instructions. And some even require the applications to be in a letter format. Do you want the grant to fully fund your "project"? Or, do you have some kind of "in-kind" labor or other contributions?
Virtually every kind if grant has requirements for the grantee to provide progress reports to the grantor.

Anyway, a good start would be to go to grants.gov. Good luck in your quest.
