Unable to print, See troubleshooting and general maintenance in User's Guide, however, I do not have a User's Guide! What to do?
Same problem and I do not have a user's guide too.
The USB cable is connected to the laptop and to the printer, but I cannot install the program, because Windows cannot recognized that USB port. However, the copy function is OK.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.
This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart,
try this step by step.without missing any thing.

SAME PROBLEM BUT I DONT TEACH. WE HAVE JUST REPLACED THE YELLOW AND THE BLACK INK RECENTLY IN THE PAST WHEN THE PROBLEM WAS UNRESOLVED WE WOULD JUST UNPLUG IT AND WAIT.
Your unit requires replacement of its maintenance kit. You will not be able to do this by yourself unless your are a technician, which I assume you are not. The cost for this repair will not be cheap, you are going to be up for over $500 and you need to do it through a brother warranty service centre.
