My acer aspire one happy series AOD257 bought 3 months ago, just freezes and cannot load window when i opened it last monday morning. It came with Windows7 starter edition. I have done starting it in safe mode, and start-up repair but to no avail. Please help me on this, its difficult for me to have it sent to Acer.

Have you tried loading the bios and changing the AHCi to IDE or vice versa!

THE REASON IS COZ U INSTALLED THE WRONG OPERATING SYSTEM OND U LOST UR RECOVERY BUY IT FROM ACER WITH UR MODEL NUMBER

Search for a recent update for your bios. You can also try a different bios all together. Google "Acer AOD257 BIOS Upgrade" and "Acer AOD257 compatible BIOS". I remember my old BIOS having very limited options available. The BIOS I use now has two pages of options. Hope I was able to help!

The oiriginal Acer webcam was providied by the manufacturer as a software program to be used by microsoft! After the warranty expired, I installed windows 7 and the camera disappeared! What does that tell ya!

Hi it may be virus issue. i suggest you to try with last known good configuration so that it will take your computer to last good working state. for that tab F9(Function key) continously immediately once you turn on your computer until you get the advanced option on your screen. highlight last known good configuration and hit enter and it will boot in that mode once you get the main sceen CLICK start - > all programs- > Accessories - > system tools -> system restore and wizard will open and select Restore my computer to an earlier time click next next finish to set your computer to last good working condition. If that doesnt work reinsatll the OS

i have acer 4736zg ;that i bought 4 months ago my computer gets heated and shuts down automatically; it works nicely for a week; and gets heated and shut down automatically 3 to 4 times in a day; i am using windows 7 and kapresky anti virus before my computer has windows vista and mcafee antivirus. yesterday my computer showed blue screen death for six times each time i connected net ; i checked the memory status and now its ok but it shutdown for three time in last 12 hours; can u plz help me out

You need to get in touch with microsoft to get a new key. Was the laptop bought brand bew or 2nd hand?
