Fixya.com receives questions from people all over the world. Without knowing where (what country) you live, it is a challenge to recommend where you can purchase a stylus (not a stylist) to use with your tablet.
You can use your favorite search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo Search, etc.) and enter the following search strategy to get a list of website and bricks and mortar businesses which sell styli (plural of stylus):
table stylus
Ray Gallant is correct, if you purchased the refurbished tablet from a local business. The technical staff at that store may be able to unlock the tablet so you may register it to yourself or your daughter.
However, if you purchased the refurbished tablet online, then you need to contact the online seller and find out how to register it for you or your daughter. If that cannot be done, then, contact the seller and ask to return the tablet for a refund.
It seems that when you dropped your tablet something may have been knocked loose inside the tablet or something may have broken.
That means you will need to take your tablet to a reputable computer repair business in your area to have a repair technician check it out.
Usually for such repair evaluation services you will have to pay an initial inspection fee. The place where I take my computers and tablets charges $35 for an initial inspection and repair evaluation. Then, if the equipment can be fixed, they tell me the repair cost from which the initial $35 evaluation fee is deducted.
Note: In the future, after having to pay to get your dropped tablet fixed, you may choose to purchase a protective case for your tablet, to help prevent any damage from future accidents.
