What make and model answering machine?

You can only erase messages from the base. Press the ERASE button once to delete a message while listening to it. Or press the ERASE button twice to delete all messages.

You don't need to erase the messages. Once you have listened to them, the next time a message is left on your machine, it will erase the older one.

When you are away, you call your number. After the answering machine asks you to leave a message, punch your code and listen to the instructions (hear new messages, hear all messages, erase message, de/activate answering function, etc.).

Does a voice prompt menu come up after the message has completed playback? Like press 1 to save, 3 to discard, or 7 to save, 9 to discard etc.?

To erase a greeting, press and hold the erase button while you are listening to the greeting. The unit will announce that the greeting has been erased.

unplug NOW before someone tapes a messages over the "deleated"one try plugging back to power after machine has had 5min downtime this may 'reset' so you can retrieve if this does not work call manufactor they may know a trick but do not reconnect because if someone tapes over its gone!

To listen to your messages:
A number of options are available to you during and after listening to a message.
The table “Listening to your mailbox messages” shows the options and when they
are available.
1. Press ƒ·°⁄ to open your mailbox.
2. Enter your mailbox password and press OK or £.
3. Press PLAY to listen to your messages. For options,
refer to the table "Listening to your mailbox
messages".
4. Press ® to end the session.
