Hi DERRICKDM,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

You're poblem is: DISHWASHER LEAKING A LARGE AMT OF WATER AND ALSO THRU CEILING OF LAUNDRY ROOM

The only way to find and repair this leak is to remove the d/w so you can inspect the parts under and in the rear. I don't recomend this to the average homeowner. If the d/w has a few years on it you may look at the cost effectivenes of repair verses replacement. If you choose you might consider utilizing our Repair Directory to find a repairman.

Water leaking from dishwasher into my basement. Help!!!

I see the water leaking out the bottom plastic cover through the two little holes. I do not see water leaking around the top seal. I assume it is coming from a seal on the bottom.
Is there a manual that shows how to take the dishwasher apart to get to the seals? I have the parts sheet which shows the exploded views where the parts are shown. Much appreciated!

There is water in the living room floor after the unit runs even for a short time. Where do you locate the stopped up drain. Where would I begin my search?

If your furnace is in the closet or laundry room, the coil that's leaking is either(1) on the top of the furnace if your ductwork is in the ceiling,(2) on the bottom of the furnace if your ductwork is in the floor. The drain that may be stopped up stubs out of the bottom left or right hand corner of the coil box. Sometimes you can flush it out with water but the best way is to find the end of the drain and get a shop vac and stick the shop vac hose on the drain, seal it real good and try pulling the junk out of your drain. Your drain may drain outside somewhere on maybe to a floor drain.

Heating element broken, water leaking

You have to pull out dishwasher to replace the element. The element is easy to replace once you have pulled dishwasher out. This enables you to reach the area that you need to reach. It is common for a element to brake. On a newer dishwasher ,I would say it must have been defective if it just broke in half.Nothing electrical in a dishwasher can cause it to brake.

Plumbing connection to dishwasher leaking

Remove bottom panel and run dishwasher while monitoring it. A large leak may be from a hose off at pump underneath. Mice can chew holes in hoses too.
