When i turn it on the screen has lines in it and it shuts off

Bad power supply board !!!

Do you have excessive drive lines on screen before it shuts off?
If so then you need to adjust the screen controls to your Tubes.

It seems you may have a serious problem with your video board. That's why you are getting those symptoms. It's better if you replace it asap!

One or both your screens have blown.

Try removing the motherboard from the screens and attach the battery the green light should turn on and stay on.

Now attach the lower screen and turn on. If the screen is ok the screen and green light will flash and then turn off. (if the screen doesn't flash the bottom screen is you're problem and will have to be replaced)

If this happens the problem is then you're top screen which you will have to replace.

Can be 1 of 2 things. 1st the red tube just needs the voltage to it turned down. In the front of TV (you have to remove the lower front half of TV to access it) is a plastic square with 6 knobs. The from left to right top knobs control focus for blue,green red. The bottom knobs control voltage to each tube in same order (so lower right knob for red) turn SLOWLY to left to reduce voltage until excessive red and lines go away. If you over turn left or right set will turn off. If that does not fix it or if lines reappear then option 2 is that red picture tube is failing outright and needs replacement.

My tv too had a blue screen problem. Then it started to shut down after staying on for less than a minute. does the led blink when it shuts down if so how many times does it blink? And the green line is that running up and down the screen or across the screen?

if you have warrenty, return it. if not, then buya new one...the video fuses are dying...hard to fix it.

1. CHECK C2P08 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P03 (3.2 VOLT REGULATOR) ON THE SIGNAL PCB. IS the set shutting off or the hor. lines?

it sounds like a b+ cap going bad and is intermittant that feeds the the video drivers on the crt pcb or the crt is shorting. I have seen intermittant shorts in crt before.
