MY GE JVM1650B HO3 MANUFACTURED IN 2005. YOU SET THE CLOCK AND DATE. TRY TO USE IT . AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT SHUTS OFF. PANEL ASK TO RESET CLOCK. DO THIS AND THE PROBLEM REPEATS ITSELF
Hello I have one doing the same thing. Mine is a little older. The the capcitor fix this issue?
I found an envelope with troubleshooting info inside the microwave on the left side behind the front vent. A troubleshooting flowchart was included which indicates that this problem is caused by the high voltage capacitor. I got mine out pretty easy and ordered one from appliancepartspros.com for $55 (which includes expedited shipping. I hope this info helps.

Exact same problem. Seems to be getting worse. Can't find service bulleting that applies to models maufactured in 2005.
Mine does the exact same thing, put time on and push start only to have it quit in about 10 seconds.
Mine has been doing the same thing since a bad lightning storm...what is the Part # for the capacitor ? Did it fix your problem ?
Hi - Ours does this too!! But then every so often it works fine. Driving us crazy. Service call is $100.....would like to fix it ourselves. Could it have anything to do with the vents, filters?
I have the same problem, does any one have the fix??
My microwave shuts off in about 2-10 seconds and ask to have the clock reset, Every once and a while it will go past the first ten seconds and works, but has gotten worse.
Message to reset clock; after doing this will only work for a couple of seconds.
DLDINE, hi same problem set clock . try to use. shuts off after a few seconds. which capacitor their are two to choose from. AP2026075 made by GE or AP22025931 made by GE also.

I replaced the Magnatron Tube and the HV diode, Stirrer this made the oven run for a second and clock remains set. Still will not cook I think I should have went with the posters repair of the HV Capacitor. I could not get it to spark or discharge with several attempts. I will replace it next and hope this is the fix. The kit I bought above is a updated fix for these models, got it on Ebay from the Appliance Doctor for $85.00

Shuts off after a few secopnds reset and it does it again. Can someone send me where to buy capacitor and how to install guide?

Same as everybody else's. Except when I remove controll panel and run microwave it seems to run just fine. It seems like some wiring would be loose, but I am unable to locate the problem.
Set clock and date , try to start and it shuts off also. I see 2 possible problems, the magnetron and the voltage regulator. Looks like the magnetron is covered for 10 years. Can anyone confirm if the problem is from the magnetron or the regulator? thanks!
