If you have a memory card installed take that out before powering on.
If your screen is frozen then you would have to send it into repairs to have that fixed.

How do I manually re-set the time on my Casio Exilim camera? I have set the worldtime etc, but it's about two and half years behind and I can't work out how to re-set it. This has been a problem...

Press MENU. On the "Set Up" tab, select "Adjust" then press cursor-right. Use cursor-left/right to move between fields, cursor-up/down to change them. Press SET when done.

The instructions are in the "Changing the Camera Date and Time Settings" section of the manual (page 165 in my copy), which discusses both the world time settings and the home city date and time. If you need a manual, you can download a copy from

VER 1.00: can't navigate with the up, down, left & right keys

Some cameras, as well as having the main battery, also have a 'button-cell' type of battery that holds the system information such as date and time etc. I know not whether yours is one of these, but it should tell you in the manual

Date & Time loss with Exilim EX-S600

Good Morning :

Hope that you are wellJ

This is the response from Casio:

"The date and time will reset and the setting will need to be readjusted. The camera does not have a separate battery for the clock. The date and time will reset whenever the camera is not supplied power by the battery and USB cradle for about 24 hours."

Sounds a bit messy to me.

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

And, remember; always include the type of Operating System and the type of computer you own, when you submit your questions. It simply makes for much faster solutions.

Have a wonderful morning.

Have to reset date and time every time I turn it on!

If you have to do that each time you shut it off and turn it back on try this. Take your memory card out and format your internal memory. Reset the camera and then re-enter the information. Shut the camera off and turn it back on and hopefully it will still be in there. If not then you have an internal memory error and that needs to be fixed by Casio.

Set date and time comes up every time i turn on camera

Try resetting your camera. In picture taking mode press menu. Go to setup, go up to reset, press right arrow, make sure reset is highlighted and press set.

Then TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD. Go back into menu, go to setup, go up to format, press right arrow and highlight format, press set. Input ur date and time again and then power off and back on. If that doesn't help then you have to send into repairs. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2 and they will tell you where to send it.

Time and date settings

Try resetting camera and then format the internal memory without the memory card installed. You will then have to re-enter the information but when you shut off and power back on it should remain in memory. If it doesn't then you will have to call repairs at 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2 and they will tell you where to send it.
