You do not need the card, all you need is the receipt for the product or a copy of the charge if a credit card was used to make the purchase. Not having the registration card DOES NOT void the warranty. If you wish a replacement card you must contact the customer service department of the manufacturer of this tool.. have you tried Cs updates to your protools software? find the correct one for you by searching Cs updates at digidesign.com sometimes if you update you software, the firmware of your interface gets updated. Hope that helps.

Is there something plugged into your inputs, and are the pre amp channels turned all the way down? Also is your 48V phantom power turned off? To prevent damage to diaphragm or electronics of condenser microphones, the phantom power should be left turned off and only turned on after a mic is plugged in and the pre amp turned off and track unnarmed to prevent damage to speakers.

Have you tried it plugged into another computer, just to see if it gets power? If it quit working and it hasn't been too long, you may be able to get it replaced for free where you bought it or from digidesign (digidesign.com)

Few symptoms that your firewire is not working would be that the FireWire devices would intermittently drop off the bus. Another symptom was the Mac telling you that you had disconnected a FW drive (when you had not). Sometimes the problem manifested itself within the first two minutes of use; other times after 40 minutes. It first happened after the 10.2.6 update so you would be trying to get reinstalled the Combo updater (no improvement), and then after you did a clean install on another drive with 10.2.4 (same problems). Booting into single-user mode, you will see the following message appearing (all on one line):

IOFireWireSBP2Login::fetchAgentWriteComplete fetch
agent write failed! Retrying

It would repeat five or six times, then pause about a minute, and then repeat again, etc. Sometimes it would appear within the first minute after boot and other times it would take 30-40 minutes until it would appear - the same frequency the problems would develop when booted to the Finder. Suspecting a bad FW port (the lower port on the motherboard), I swapped the FW devices to the upper port...and the problem disappeared.

Tamper mode means the prepaid meter is in a mode where it does not supply power. Check your meter remote controller (used for recharging units).
