My mbox2 will not work,it wont light up,the drivers are loaded,there is a yellow ?mark on the mbox in the devise manager window

My laptop recongnizes the hardware,but the installation fails because the pc cannot find the soft ware an drivers to run the hardware

When i plug in my mbox mini 3 the blue light come on, but when i try to lauch pro tools it says that hardware is not recognize. When look at the mbox mini control panel, it says that it is not connected...

Assuming you are on a Windows system, go to Control panel/Sounds and devices/ and check that the Mbox2 appears as the default in the Audio and also Voice tabs/panes while unit is connected. If it is not, select it in each... if it is not in the list offered, then the drivers have not been installed for the Mbox.

My digidesigh mbox wont install on my pc

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or you can download the drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar

The recording level to my Mbox is very low for some reason. I am running Pro Tools LE and I have a shure 87a microphone. Every time I attempt to record a track, the input volume is incredibly low...

Make sure you turn the Phantom power on the Mbox2 on as the Shure 87A requires it being a condenser mic.Make sure you use XLR mic cables. These are just things to check on.

Driver for SONY CDRW/DVD drive seems to be corrupt. Help, anybody

Go to my computer, and right click on it, when the window opens
click on properties, when window opens find devise mgr and click on it.

When devise mgr opens, look for cd/dvd rom drives, click on the little
sign in front of this and it will expand, and you will see the dvd drive.

Right click on the drive and when the window opens click on properties, now at the top you will see a driver tab, click on the driver tab, and it should say microsoft for the driver provider.

The drivers for the rom drives is built into windows,

Now click on the general tab, in the box, does it say this devise is working, or does it say the devise is not working.

You can go back to driver tab, and click on update driver, let it search
the internet for a driver, follow the instructions, it will either say it has the best driver, or it will find one and install it and you have to restart the system,

If the driver is there, and the unit says its working, then it is the drive that is bad, and you might have to buy a new one.

If you get any error codes or if it says anything, you can post back
so we can get this problem fix,if possible.

I have a d915 board and i can't find my sound card drivers kindly help me in getting this

You did not state what os system you are running so i'll assume it's Win XP. Go to > Control Panel > Administative Tools > Computer Management > now on left side of window click on Devise Manager...when the list comes up scrool down to Sound, Video and Game Controllers then click on "+" sign to expand and BINGO!...If any sound (audio) devises listed are accompanied with a yellow question mark...you have a problem. Click on the ones with the question mark and choose install driver. Windows will then search for and install your driver.

SOund not working on compaq cq40-330tu with win xp sp3

Click Start, right click My Computer, go to Properties, Hardware, Devise Manager. Click on the plus mark, check for any yellow question marks in Sound, video and game controllers. If you see one, right click the device then you can try a number of things. Do not disable the device. Try up-dating the driver if no driver is found try uninstalling the driver and restarting the computer. The computer might install the driver after it loads Windows. You can try double clicking or going to properties from the right-click menu. Check the devise status trouble shoot if necessary. The first thing I want you to try is from the properties menu, go to driver, then click Roll Back Driver. If all this don't work go to Start, Help and Support, then System Restore. Restore to an earlier time. Choose a day and month in the calender previous to the day you last remember it working, then click next and follow the instructions. See if that does it, the days available or restore points will be highlighted in th calender.

Protools mbox2 issue

it doesnt sound like its the mbox more maybe the protools install. But as far as the cable goes can you tell me if you can ping the mbox throught the 1394 connection. If you cant ping it then damage may have been caused to the unit and it may need to be serviced. I fix my own M-box's but in my store it only costs around $50usd to fix almost all problems with a mbox2

go to devices in control panel check drivers for cd dvd player if yellow mark on them delete and reload them
