What about the screen resolution? If you have big screen resolution, try to set it down to 1024X768 and try again to launch game. Also take a look at that

Xfx fa1itly serieas 1 PCI-e 9600gso 768MB/z

Encounter like this problem of your GPUs are not only one this PCI-e problem. I tell you what if any of this part are having a problem will at least you buy a new one. Fixing it takes a time to work it and maybe not.

If under warranty then send it back to where you buy and if not totally fix or working then buy a new one.

I have like this GPUs and now now my PCI-e slots are not working. I'm using MoBo MSI & Gigabyte.

Hope this tip might help you.
Good luck!

Screen went dead, unplugged the graphics card and

So basically you cannot get the pc to POST. Meaning you have just a black screen when you power on the pc, right?

First off, did you attempt to update BIOS before this happened. 90% of the time this is caused by a corrupt bios.

If you did not try to update BIOS before the problem started then try these troubleshooting steps.

1. Full power down. Unplug the power cord from the Power supply. Then hold down the pc power button.
Try to boot the pc.

2. Open the case and reseat the graphics card, hard drive, and RAM.

3. Take out one of the RAM sticks if there is 2 or more. Swap the RAM sticks in different RAM slots.

4. Set the Cmos jumper to clear. Power up the pc. Power down the PC. Set the Cmos jumper back to normal position, power up the PC.

5. Unplug and replug all the power supply cables.

6. Check the powersupply function. Either by a powersupply voltage checker, put the powersupply in a different pc, or try a different powersupply in the problem computer.

Could be bad ram, motherboard, cpu, powersupply, videocard.

If the video card is suspected to be damaged, try it in a other pc (friend's, mom's or dad's, pentagons' ).

if it is bad, there is your answer.

Error before welcome screen, double picture in welcome screen, hang after welcomescreen

If your monitor is showing weird colors before the Windows XP welcome screen then it might be that your monitor is bad. Try hooking up a different monitor and see if the colors look fine as the computer is booting up, if it does then you know the original monitor is bad, if the colors still look weird then you know your video card is going bad.

As far as the lockups are concerned, with the computer turned off, take out the memory. With a can of air, blow some on the contacts of the memory and into the memory slots on the motherboard. You want to do this to make sure that there is no dust or dirt cause that can cause lockups to happen.

If you need more help, just let me know.

Blank screen, No video signal

Try to uninstall/reinstall the video card and make sure that you're installing the software from the setup CD and also you can try updating the software of the video card if you still have the problem after uninstalling/reinstalling it..

Hope that helps.........
