SOURCE: XFX GeForce FX5200 256 MB AGP. No video

Un install the video card and remove any software that came with it including the drivers, then reboot. Install JUST THE DRIVERS and none of the extra software. Then hook up the video card and make sure you have your BIOS set to accept the video card I.E. VGA or PCI depending on what kind you have.

SOURCE: I have a XFX Geforce graphics card. When it is

If it isn't an overclocked card just go to Nvidia.com and download the newest drivers. They are most likely better then the ones on your cd anyway

SOURCE: my graphics card is xfx 8600 gts my card problem

Its a GPU problem.
It can be overcome by doing reflow technique.
You need to do following.
1. Uncover ur PC casing
2. Locate the nVIDIA PCI-E Card.
3. On the card, locate the power supply pin of GPU fan.
4. Remove the pin.
5. Switch on ur PC.
6. Still u may get scrambled display/wavy screen, but wait for 5 minutes.
7. Press reset button on ur PC.
8. Ur PC might work.
9. Switch it off.
10. Connect the power supply pin back as it is.
11. Power on ur PC.
thats all.

Removal of fan power, makes the GPU to get high heat, it a reflow technique.
Remember, not to touch the GPU portion (heat sink), as it may be in higher temperature.
Try this, it works most.

I want to install a GeForce 9 series graphics card (can't remember which one it is, but I know it is 9000 and something) on my P5PL2-E Asus motherboard (which is dual-core, you may see the specifications...

All GeForce NVIDIA 9800 /9000 series rock!
The GTX+ series are fast
No problems with Asus motherboards.
Your P5PL2-E board has 1 PCI-Express x16 slot so you might consider buying the XFX card. XFX warrants their cards for life. Here is a link for XFX cards for your viewing; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Category/guidedSearch.asp?CatId=28&sel=Mfr;Mfr_1439
The more memory the better.

Need to update driver xfx gf mx4000

Go to http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx and select GeForce as the product type and GeForce 4 MX as the series. Choose the OS and language and away you go.

However, this is a fairly old card and if you're trying to play a new game it is possible that it isn't supported - it has no programmable shaders, for example, which may be required for new games.
