I turned it on this morning and it still had at least half the battery life left. I tried to turn it on two hours later and now it won't turn on. I plugged it into the computer thinking the battery was dead and nothing is showing up on the screen.
I think i have a solution to your the power not coming on with a charged battery. On the back at the very bottom is a reset button (very tiny), get a saftey pin or tooth pick and press and release. I did this and now i am not hunting down Samsung....Have good day! WhupAzz

After downloading tracks to my mp3 via windows media player the computer said I could disconnect my mp3 which I did, after this it just came up with the usb sign & "finishing" all the time. After a while this stopped but now it will not play anything and when I try to play tracks it just says track error?
please help!!!!!
i have a samsung GT-S5600V ive installed the software for it 'USB cable' and 'Samsung new PC studio' and ive connected my phone to the computer through the USB cable and its not searching for the device it keeps saying 'the device cannot be opened because another program is currently using it.close the program to connect the device.move to search new device' and im gettin really annoyed PLEASE HELP!

Here's the deal. I got my Samsung a few days ago from my cousin second hand but he doesn't have the software. Now I tried to turn it on when I got it but it wouldn't so I figured it needed to be charged. Well I connected it to my computer and the whole thing lit up but I noticed that it said it was locked. I tried moving the lil' button on the side of it but it doesn't work at all. When I disconnect it from the charger/USB cable it shuts off and will NOT turn on. Will somebody please tell me what the problem is?
i just posted my problem (KEMR) that it would not turn on or charge and then i went to another site and read that pressing the reset buttom(little hole on the back at the bottom) might help and now it's working again perfectly hope this helps

When the YP-K3 4 gb device is plugged into the USB Port, the system says "Found New Hardware, Samsung YP-K3" which then switches to "MTP Device" and then fails on an MTP error. It seems to be searching for a driver, and cannot find one. H E L P!!!!!

I downloaded firmware 4.10 for Samsung Yp-K3 from the samsung download center and installed it and now when I turn it on, a white screen comes and graphics are ruined though it is able to play stuff. How do I switch back to the older firmware?
you have to put the image file on it and then when you turn it on it should automatically fix the problem. I had the same problem but i did this and it worked like a charm...

I have a Samsung YP-K3 mp3 player and need to install driver for it put don't have the installation cd! I cannot find a site to download it from can you help?!!
The samsung site does not have it! Very irritating!!
I've had this problem. Windows media player doesn't seem to find it, and I couldn't figure out which file I needed from the site. I have xp, but I'm assuming this might also work for vista. Go to Control Panel. Open System. Click the Hardware tab. Click the Device manager button. Find the yellow question mark labled Samsung YP-K3 and doubble click it. This should open a window that will let you (re)install the driver, which it will find for you after having you set up a few simple options. Hope this helps.

When I plug in my Ematic mp3 player, the drive is not being read. I even installed the driver that came with the player. How can I get my computer to recognize the drive
i am having that same problem, and ontop of that my ematic is frozen! when i turn it on the picture of the river comes up and stays up untill you turn it off. i have the ematic 5 series, is thier a solution?

my samsung rogue wont connect to the computer and when I go to My Music and hit Sync Now it freezes.
Go to the Samsung's website and download the latest driver for your player and follow the steps below to force install the driver:
1. Look for the icon named "Computer" or "My Computer" and right click on it and select properties, this will open a window named "System Properties".
2. In the system properties windows click on the tab named "Hardware", and Select "Device Manager".
3. On this window you will see all the devices installed on your computer, look for the device not working properly (printer, dvd rom, keyboard, camera, mp3 player, etc), if there is a bigger problem, more likely you will see a cross by it, or an alert stating there is an issue with it.
4. Right click on the device you where having problems with and select uninstall, it will give you a confirmation, press OK
5. Once the device disappeared from the list, click on the menu bar icon that looks like a computer with a magnifying glass this will cause for the system to scan for any devices not registered and will force the re installation of the device.
IF THIS DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM WITH IT FREEZING WHEN YOU SYNC FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO RESET:
Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the Samsung's website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.
