OK, remove the hard drive, buy a hard drive to USB lead on ebay. Plug into a new computer run Belarc advisor http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, this will read the whole computer and your hard drive and give the serial and codes. Once you have this you can re install the programs with the correct password and serial numbers

i know it's a silly question, but just to cover all bases, is the laptop plugged in to an outlet? sometimes the connections come loose on the "brick" (the square block on laptop power cables). try disconnecting/reconnecting that. do you see a light when you plug it in?

You can try finding the box if you have or alternatly you can check with the support department of you machines`s manufacturer if they have its mac number associated with it.
