My ipod shuts off after i remove it from the charger

Connect to the PC and scan for virus , if there are corrupt files it can hang up and so it is best to format and re-install safe files. If not the battery on the ipod can be faulty or there is fault on the main board.

How can i fix that my screen shows words ? Its

Welcome to Fixya

Looks like the software just hanged-up on you. Try to reset the Ipod by following the procedures below.

1st option:
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).
You may need to repeat the reset several times.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.

2nd option (Disk Mode):
Plug the iPod into a high-powered USB port, let it sit for 2 hours, then disconnect it. If you have a wall charger, plug in the iPod, then follow these steps while it is still plugged in.
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears
Immediately switch your figures to press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until "Disk Mode" appears at the top.
For a lot of people, this solves the problem. Connect the iPod to the computer and (assuming it shows up) reset the iPod again to get it out of Disk Mode. If at this point you still have the white screen, restore the iPod using the restore function in iTunes under the Summary tab (this will erase everything on the iPod and put it at factory settings).
Note: Do not disconnect or eject the iPod until the store is totally done. After you think it's done, wait another five minutes.

My ipod was working today

First and easiest solution is it may have been left on and the battery is dead, so plug it in and try that first. If that doesn't work, press both your menu button and the center (select button) for about five seconds, hold them down until you see the apple logo appear on the screen. That is your reset option. It will go through a shut down/reset process. When finished, turn it back on and enjoy....Brian

My 2nd gen nano screen is gray except for the bar

Hi, this seems to be a screen failure, just to make sure, do you still see the gray area when you reboot your iPod? in other words, can you see the gray apple over the black background when you first turn it on?
You can reboot your iPod by holding the menu and the select button (the one you use to pick a song).
If you can't see the Apple logo, then your screen appears to be broken, you're gonna have to take it to a technician. If by the other hand your iPod does show the logo, you really should try and restore it; this will erase all the songs and configurations but should restore your iPod to a working state, to do this just connect your iPod and while on iTunes, press the button that says "Restore".

I forgot the code to unlock my ipod nano 2nd

According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data."

I put in a code and for got it and now it is stuck

Hello,

There are two options by which you can unlock the code on your ipod. Follow any of the procedures below to unlock your ipod.

Unlock with the Primary Computer
  1. Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.
  2. Open itunes and sync the iPod as normal.
  3. Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.
Unlock by Restoring
  1. Restore the iPod to factory settings if you do not have access to your primary computer. This erases all of the data you have stored on the iPod.
  2. Plug your iPod into the new computer you want to be the primary computer. Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button.
  3. Reload your data, if it is available and sync your iPod. Remove it following normal procedures.
Take care
