My ipod wont charge and screen frozen
Most ipods can generally be unfrozen by doing a soft reset by holding down the menu button and the center button. You can also refer to this website which may help also. http://www.ehow.com/how_6905387_fix-ipod-nano-2nd-generation.html
It will not charge up.
Recharageable should not be stored in a discharged state. If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
My ipod shuts off after i remove it from the charger
Connect to the PC and scan for virus , if there are corrupt files it can hang up and so it is best to format and re-install safe files. If not the battery on the ipod can be faulty or there is fault on the main board.
Ipod nano wont turn on
push the play button and the center button at the same time until the apple shows up(takes like 20-30 sec.). I had the same problem before then hook it up to it. that should work :)
My ipod was working today
First and easiest solution is it may have been left on and the battery is dead, so plug it in and try that first.
If that doesn't work, press both your menu button and the center (select button) for about five seconds, hold them down until you see the apple logo appear on the screen. That is your reset option. It will go through a shut down/reset process. When finished, turn it back on and enjoy....Brian
I forgot the code to unlock my ipod nano 2nd
According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data."

My 2nd gen nano screen is gray except for the bar
Hi, this seems to be a screen failure, just to make sure, do you still see the gray area when you reboot your iPod? in other words, can you see the gray apple over the black background when you first turn it on?
You can reboot your iPod by holding the menu and the select button (the one you use to pick a song).
If you can't see the Apple logo, then your screen appears to be broken, you're gonna have to take it to a technician. If by the other hand your iPod does show the logo, you really should try and restore it; this will erase all the songs and configurations but should restore your iPod to a working state, to do this just connect your iPod and while on iTunes, press the button that says "Restore".
