Have you tried turning the lock switch from locked to unlocked. There will be a little circular switch on the edge of the ipod that will appear red next to if it IS locked.

normally when you go to the setting and then go to music then power up song you can change what song plays when the ipod turns on. hope this helps. if it doesnt im sorry :(
switch off then switch on your ipod. if still the same problem occurs, then format your ipod. try transferring a few songs first. this should solve your issue.
ok what i would sugest is leaving it for a little while and see if it repairs it self if not the on switch just flick it up really quickly try that a few times hold it and then leave it and then flick it up quickly that worked for me so it sould work for you.
You may reset or restore your iPod for a try, this way can fix many common iPod problems. try reseting it. then resyncing your ipod. to reset it, simply push the middle button down, and the menu button at the same time. a few seconds later and the ipod should reset. then sync the song that had the problem onto the ipod and see if it works. (no point in syncing all your songs becuase if reseting it doesnt work you wasted alot of time syncing songs for nothing)
