I have an ML-2510 that I purchased earlier this year to replace an old HP 5L (or something like that) that had a paper feed problem, namely initially picking up a single piece of paper from the paper tray area and feeding it into the printer. Well, my new Samsung worked fine for a few short weeks. Now it has a permanently red flashing light, and I struggle to feed each piece of paper in, one at a time. It takes 3 tries minimally to feed a piece through. It, too, makes a clicking sound before and after. I thought cleaning each piece off of possible dust or a few stray hairlike fuzzies would help - but no. When I watch, it looks like the bootom piece tries to raise itself to meet the roller that takes up individual pieces of paper doesn't seem to come up high enough to do so. Any ideas and assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I just finished fixing my ml-2510 with the identical problem. you can take the pick up rubber and its housing off without removing the shaft. after taking off the front panel and taking out the upper paper tray and the toner you have lots of room to get your hands in there (make sure it's unplugged before you start). two plastic side supports hold the rubber housing in. lift the tab on one and slide it to the side. the housing will now come out . take note of the positioning of all these parts before taking them apart. I sometimes use a digital camera for this purpose. the housing snaps apart and the rubber band slides off. I turned it inside out and put everything back together. works great now (for another year I hope). It's not difficult, it took me about 30 minutes, but be gentle with these plastic parts. I needed a small flat head screw driver and a good lamp. the easiest way is to stand the printer up on its back and reach down inside the hole with the lamp set up over top. good luck.hope this helps.

I checked EVERYTHING I can think of. I've only had this printer for about two weeks, so I know it's not out of toner. I've turned on & off and opened & closed all lids. There's no paper jam. I don't know what the round orange button is for but I've pushed that too. I've unplugged and replugged all the cords. I'm currently trying the tip to leave it unplugged for an hour.
Any other ideas?
This may be a help. I had a similar problem with an ML-2850 which fresh out of the box refused to print, not even a test page, green light followed by red and the smart panel showed that the printer thought that there was no toner in it.
After struggling with it for an hour I hit upon the following.
Turn off the printer.
Take out the toner cartridge.
In the hole where the toner came from there's a gear on the left hand side which is sort of diagonal mesh to match the underside of the toner cartridge. Rock it back and forth a bit and then stick the cartridge back in.
My guess is, if you're unlucky when you install a new cartridge you could have a situation where the gear is in exactly the wrong position, tooth to tooth with the underside of the toner so this gear doesn't mesh properly, the cartridge doesn't seat properly, which then shows the printer as having no toner in it. Waggling the gear just changes the position slightly and then voila. A bit like rocking a car back and forth in gear to free a stuck starter motor.

Have a continuous blinking red light on my printer.
When I turned the printer off, and plugged in again to 115vac, blinking red light came on again.

I have a ml 2510 printer and the two lights on it are alternating flashes. the flashes are both green and red and it won't stop or print anything. I know the red light means no paper, but even after we put the paper in, the printer just kept alternating between red and green flashes
try to reset the printer by opeing the front cover and close it again.

My Samsung ML - 191x 252x Series printer has a red light, does that mean I need to replace the toner cartridge? And if so, do I have to do it immediately, or does it still have some ink left?
Hi guys, The solutionto your problem is simple, just press the button just above the on/off buttonto print out the start of the printer. Make sure to see the "Toner Remaining" .

Printing preferences cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not running. (What does that mean? I cannot print anything from all 3 of my computers at work can you please HELP ME! )
If you are getting this problem to a Network Printer then you should check the Firewall of Server PC or The PC to which Printer is Directly Conncted, Disable Firewall of that system and check the Properties again on remote pc on which you are getting this message, in miy case norton internet security was blocking printer to all my network pc and i was getting same error. but when i set the firewall to shared mode (its only in NIS) all pc started to print normally.... :)

Sometimes it picks up only two sheets, but then sometimes 5 or 6 at a time then it jams of course. Started all at once after working swell for thousands of pages. No change in the paper used or anything else. Cleaned it carefully according to Samsung's instructions: No change. Looked inside but cannot see anything amiss. however if I put in just 2 sheets, it nearly always takes in the second sheet about an inch after the first. Never fails to pick up, which seems to be the common problem.
I know this is an old post, but I thought I'd add this bit of info. I just fixed my ML-2010 by first replacing a torn pickup tire, but it still kept picking up multiple pages. I read a different post where the person traced it to a bad solenoid that was sticking in the open position as he described it. He replaced the solenoid, but on mine the solenoid was working, but I found it was sticking when closed. It is supposed to close and open once at the start of each page. Mine would close and stay closed sometimes until the start of the next page which would, of course, cause another pulse to energize the solenoid. I found it was due to a deteriorated thin half moon-shaped foam pad on the top of the solenoid's electromagnet that would cause the part that gets pulled in to stick to it for a couple of seconds before the spring would overcome the pad's stickiness and release it. I replaced the foam pad with a then piece of sticky-back felt that I cut to fit. When I reassembled it, it worked perfectly.
The way to get to the solenoid is to pull the covers, take the power supply boards off the back(as one unit, attached to a metal baseplate) and remove the panel underneath it, noting the screws and connections along the way. On the side where the solenoid is attached, I also saw a "split" gear that appeared to have a mark showing how they matched together, so be sure to realign the marks if they become separated before reassembly. Beyond that, it was a simple inexpensive repair. As these machines age, I would bet this is a major cause of this issue.
