The graphics cards are actually integrated onto the motherboard and are unfortunately not inter-changeable like desktops. Your next option would be to purchase a new/working motherboard. Good luck!

I would try pulling down a current install file from Sony's website along with a Diagnostic CD. But from what your describing it sounds like the internal wireless card is not working - contact your manu for warranty, and/or take it to a local pc shop and see if they can replace it.

I would suggest either contacting your manufacture for a diagnostic disk. It is possible the ports are failing. If all tests do come back ok and detects no problems with the ports, I would then recommend uninstalling any programs that would use the ports for example KVM switch software. If that does not work (and again the diag came back ok) I would reinstall your windows.

What happens when you insert a DVD/CD? If inserting one immediately locks the laptop, and you have already tried uninstalled and reinstalling the drive, its time to purchase another DVD drive for your laptop.

Have you tried plugging it in power minus the battery then try to switch on. when battery is inserted, and power code plugged in, do you get any leds that atleast indicate that power is entering?

Your system board is faulty

Your memory is dump or dirt, please clean up your memory and try to put it again. Please clean it with an eraser. If the problem still exist please try to connect properly the hard disk.

You will have to reload OS from startup. System may say OS already exists but you should have th option to continue. Netgear has a problem with their pc card. Recommend you buy another brand like Linksys...

This error means the operating system on the hard disk couldn't load due to possible faulty hard drive or disk controller. The fault could also mean the hard drive needs reseating to make proper connection. Reseat the hard drive and if you still get this error, then you need to determine if the disk controller is faulty.
To do this, remove the hard drive and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter and plug it into a working computer's USB port. If this computer see this hard drive as an external drive and you can also see the contents of the drive, then the hard drive is OK and the fault is a faulty disk controller. If the computer cannot detect the hard drive then the hard drive is faulty.
Then get a new hard drive insert it into youe laptop and install Windows to get your laptop operatioal.

i would think that best buy should be held resopsible for this if infact they lost the cd iff not the manufacture of the computer will be able to get you the cd that you need just call the tech support ok and they will ask you for the serial number on the computer and the service tag ok please keep me posted on this best regards mike
