Need this cable hp c6680-80003 to usb

You can find that cable here: Buy HP Hewlett Packard C6680 80003 C668080003 However, you will need a separate adapter to convert from parallel port to USB. That can be found on Amazon. I've added a link below.

Is there a fix to this problem with the officejet r40 hook up to windows 7 professional

Hi there,First, You need a 25 pin to USB converter to connect your Printer to Win PC.Then, you need to simply connect the printer to PC and you will find a printer icon in the Devices and Printers folder to print. There are no drivers available from HP as this printer is old and HP no longer designs the drivers, you will be using the inbuilt drivers from Win 7 to use your printer.Regards,Suhail

My HP Office Jet printer is about 10 years old.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!Sir if your printer just prints red shades then it Most likely this is a print head issue. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. To attempt to resolve it, do the following:(1) Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. If for some reason it does not follow these instructions:(a) Unplug the printer (b) Manually slide the carriage over until you can get the ink cartridges out.(2) Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.(3) Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water or a mix of hot water and isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.(4) Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.(5) Once finished, allow to dry and replace the cartridges(6) Try to print something nowIf that does not work then you have one of two possibilities:(1) One of the ink cartridges is defective and causing the error(2) If it's definitely not that, then the print head will need to be replaced.I hope this solution helps you.Don't hesitate to let me know if you have some confusion.Sir, Your Rating as Maximum Stars and Words of Appreciation will be esteemed.Thank you for taking my service.Concerned: Muhammad Uzair

I have an hpr40 that only prints pink

If your cartridges are full, you might try uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it. Could be a driver issue. Or you could to go the HP online support site and have it checked out from their site to your printer.

I've got an HP R40 multifunction printer. Yes, it

I had the same problem and HP claimed it was the roller on the feed unit. I do think they are programed to feed a little different for scaned documents than copied docs. HP gave me a new printer worth more rather than even try to fix it. Here is a tip. Take the insurance on the extended protection especially if you have a 4 unit function (fax, scanner, copier and printer) chances are 1 function will break before the end of your extended protection. You always get a new unit, rather than them fixing it. It's really worth the 50 bucks if you buy a high end unit.

Will not scan, goes into warm up mode and then turn power off and

Might try unplugging the power cord and letting it sit for about 20 minutes. Right off hand it sounds like its getting to hot. Even if it is turned off power is still going to the printer so it can still get hot.
