Help I have no sound coming from computer
Hi, am sorry your having such a problem let me try to help you locating where was installed and perhaps re-installing it. First of all your gonna hit "START" or if you have windows vista click on the Windows logo on the lower left corner of your monitor. From there look for the "My Computer" and left click on it, once you do that a menu will appear, on that menu select the last option which is "Properties" in properties look for a tab or a button that says "DEVICE MANAGER" and click on it. If you have windows vista just click on the windows logo on the search bar type "Device Manager". Ok.....now that we are on device manager look for "Sound, Video and game Controllers" or something related to your sound. Hit the plus sign a menu will show, now left click on the proper link for your sound and hit properties. On properties for your audio go to the driver tab. There you go, you have options of uninstalling such driver, reinstalling the driver, or updating the driver. Let me now if I can be of further assistance to you. Good Luck!

Power supply
Try this, (with the slider in the right position)remove the power cord from the P.S. and push the power button for 5-10 seconds. This will usually dissipate built up charge on the system board and P.S.. Then plug it together and try it with the slider in the right position. Also, try unplugging everything except the MLB, to see if it will beep (post). If so, power down and plug things back in one at a time...

I have a Gateway LP2417 monitor and there's No sound.Hoe do I fix it,so I can hear the video that is playing?
This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor.
The simplest solution is to connect your source to appropriate speakers. Depending on your audio setup, you could connect the video source to a receiver with HDMI IN and HDMI Out (ARC), computer speakers or an audio extractor. (If you are using an HDMI cable between the Gateway LP2417 and a computer, you may need to reset the audio output to use basic computer speakers (3.5mm jack).) VGA and DVI connections don't support audio so I assume you are using the HDMI port.
I hope this helps.

How to make touch screen on gateway computer upside down and how to put it back?
f you want to use your touch screen on your gateway computer in an upside down orientation, there are a few things you need to do.
First, you need to change the orientation of the screen in the control panel. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Display." Next, click on the "Settings" tab and then click on the "Orientation" drop-down menu. Select "Landscape (flipped)" from the menu and then click on the "Apply" button.
Now that the orientation of the screen has been changed, you need to adjust the position of the touchscreen so that it is in the correct position. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Hardware and Sound." Next, select "Pen and Touch" and then click on the "Calibrate" button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touchscreen. Once you have finished, the touchscreen should be working correctly in the upside down orientation.
I hope this helps!

I have a 2017 Gateway All in One Pentium Model zx6980 Push power button monitor comes on faintly No signal HD something. Will not boot
It sounds like there could be a few different issues going on with your computer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the connections: Make sure all cables and connections are secure and properly plugged in. This includes the power cable, monitor cable, and any other peripheral cables.
- Check the monitor: Try connecting your computer to a different monitor to see if the issue is with the monitor itself. If the other monitor works, the problem is likely with your original monitor.
- Check the hard drive: Disconnect the new SSD hard drive and try booting up the computer without it. If the computer boots up successfully, there may be an issue with the hard drive or its installation.
- Check the battery: As you mentioned, the issue could be related to the battery on the motherboard. Try replacing the battery with a new one and see if that helps.
- Try booting into safe mode: If the computer is still not booting up, try booting into safe mode by pressing the F8 key during startup. This will allow you to troubleshoot any issues with your computer's software.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your computer to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.
