I accidently erased the memory on my panasonic

There is no way to restore the memory that was erased as there is no temporary back in the set.
You will need to reset the memory once and take care of any accidental erasing next time.

Screen wont turn on..

Make sure the hand or emergency brake is engaged, but if you just install it you must connect usually the pink wire to the hand or emergency brake. This is for security purpose to watch any video you have to put you car in park.

Jensen dvd receiver model#vm9311ts

There isn't any code that I know of. Most DVD head units have one extra wire in their wiring harnesses, compared to a standard CD head unit. On mine, it's a peach-colored wire, and is the activation wire for the DVD feature. During the installation, the instructions call for this wire to be tapped into the emergency brake indicator light wire. The reason is this:

The e-brake indicator light is what is called a "ground complete" circuit. That means that the bulb always has power applied, but when you pull the brake, that puts a ground to the wire and completes the circuit, allowing it to illuminate. The head unit sees this ground, and activates the DVD player.

In my Jensen unit, I simply ran this wire to a ground (I used a screw near the fuse box), and I put a switch on the wire, so I could break the ground contact at will. Jensen calls for a procedure to activate DVD playback. In their instructions, they tell you to select DVD from the option menu, and when the "lawyer screen" comes up (the one warning you to park before you watch a movie), you release the e-brake for 3-5 seconds, and then reapply it. To simulate that with the switch I used, I leave the switch closed (activated), and select DVD. Then I flip the switch "off" for 3-5 seconds, and flip it back "on". This tricks the head unit into thinking I put the e-brake off for a few seconds and then put it back on, and the movie will start. Then I can drive away.

Basically, ground the wire that is used for DVD activation, and put a switch inline on it. Then you can break and reapply the ground in whatever manner is required by the manufacturer of your head unit. If there is no off/on sequence with yours, as there is with mine, simply ground the wire to a screw inside the dashboard and you're done.

PANASONIIC CQVD7001U

it should be 0000
if it's not then it has been changed in the past. you can reset it, press and hold the joystick to the right for 10 seconds and then press the power button on the remote, then put in 0000 when the screen asks for the security code and it should be like new. just to let you know you must have the remote, it is a definite need.

No wiring diagram

the red wire is on and off, the yellow is live, black is ground, blue is amp turn on, brown is suppose to go to the e-brake. the four speakers are gray, purple, green, and white (one is all (color)(+) the other is (color) with a black line(-))

the rest should be self explanatory, also you can go to any stereo shop and get a universal radio hook up harness and just match up the colors and plug it in, very simple.

Unit Powers on but Screen is not working.

I had the same problem before. I thought the mechanic broke my radio. The power button will not work on the radio, right? I couldn't turn it on or off, but the blue lights stayed on all the time. What I found out is that I had to put a new battery in my remote because it died at the exact same time. Crazy, huh? But anyways, you have to use the power button on the remote or else it will stay black forever. Once you turn the unit on with the remote, it will prompt you to enter your password. Like guest said before, if you didn't set your password before, then the default code is 0000. I hope you get that thing working!! -kev
