Can you connect an ipod to this unit (alpine cva-1003r)

The cable that alpine offers now is for 2006 and up models. I checked to be sure....Its the KCE-422i. Your model is not mentioned on the sites. But...you should be able to run it through an input to RCA. Im not sure if there is any other patch cable made for your model.

Screen will not come out

If you hear the motor try to run but the screen will not move then the plastic slides inside are most likely cracked and warped. This will make the screen catch on the rough edges. Not sure of the part number for the assembly to replace it but this is what I just found on my unit.

ALPINE CVA 1003 AND A DHA 5680 DVD/CD CHANGER

you have the amp remote wire hooked to the power antenna lead instead of the amp wire on the deck otherwise just hook it to a switched +12 volt source. You sure you got a DVD changer instead of just a cd changer

Help

Hi,

Depending on the vehicles wiring itself, Alpine uses the below color coding for its wiring:
yellow – constant +12v such as the positive battery terminal
red – switched 12v such as the accessory terminal of the IGN switch
black – ground which could be the chassis/body ground of the vehicle or the negative terminal of the battery
blue/white - remote trigger for add-ons such as a power amplifier
blue – will activate a power antenna (if present)
white and white/black - front left speaker + & -
grey and grey/black - front right speaker + & -
green and green/black - rear left speaker + & -
purple and purple/black - rear right speaker + & -
orange/white - reverse wire
white/pink - monitor control lead
pink/black - audio interrupt from mobile/cell phones
yellow/blue - parking brake
yellow/black - foot brake

To bypass, the yellow/blue must be triggered negative/grounded. Alternately, it may be easier to use an adapter such as a Peripheral PTR7 (http://peripheralelectronics.com/). In some regions, it is not allowed to operate this unit while vehicle is in motion.

Hope this be of help. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck, kind regards and drive safe.

I need a Manual for a Alpine Vie-x077 in English and also anyone know why it keeps saying the disc needs to be ejected but it won't

  1. Mechanical Issue: There might be a mechanical problem with the disc drive or the eject mechanism. It's possible that a part is jammed or not functioning correctly.
  2. Dirty or Damaged Disc: If the disc is dirty, scratched, or damaged, the player may have difficulty reading it and thus not ejecting it properly.
  3. System Error: There could be an internal error within the player's software or firmware causing it to not recognize the disc properly or to malfunction when attempting to eject it.
  4. Power Issue: Sometimes, power-related issues can affect the functionality of electronic devices. Ensure that the player is receiving adequate power and there are no loose connections.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  • Turn off the player and then turn it back on to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Try ejecting the disc using the manual eject button (if available). This button is usually a small pinhole near the disc slot. You can insert a paperclip or a similarly sized object into the hole to manually eject the disc.
  • If possible, try using a different disc to see if the problem persists. If other discs work fine, then the issue may be with the original disc.
  • Check for any visible obstructions around the disc slot and remove them if present.
  • If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Alpine customer support for further assistance or consider taking the player to a qualified technician for repair.
