What kind of connector do you use ? SCART, RCA composite or S-video ? Looks like cable or connector problem

There are three video inputs, Aux1, Aux2 and NAV in. Are the setting correct (page 36 of the manual)?

There is also possiblity to display a video but the sound is from another source, maybe the setting is incorrect (page 39 of the manual)

Do you have the manual, if not I can sent it to you.

The system is equipped with a safety interlock that prevents the driver from watching while the vehicle is moving. Page 23 describes the procedure to disengage the safety interlock, there is a sequence - foot brake on- handbrake on-handbrake off-Handbrake off- footbrake off.

The simplest way to disable it is to connect the brake wires (4and 11) to 2 switches connected to the plus12v and simulate ther brake sequences.

Be forewarned that watching video while driveing is dangerous and illegal in many places !

DVD wont show picture i can hear sound but its just a blank screen

The emergency break wire is not connected correctly. This wire needs to be grounded to a chassis ground. Or the Yellow video cable is not connected or is not working correctly.

My portable COby DVD player stopped working. DVD rotates when I put it in by screen remains black... With TV out option sound comes out and picture/sound shows on TV once I connect it to DVD

I have had some very bad luck with Coby products and am sorry to hear that you have too but please make sure that the connector jack is clean and functioning properly. The connection jack has a device inside it that knows when the plug is inserted and then sends the audio and video out to the TV. If the connector is really dirty it could be that the connector is not working properly.

There isn't a lot more to look at unless there is some obvious problem with the screen such as a loose wire or a broken hinge.

Samsung ht-tx72 Issue

GEnerally speaking that behavior suggests that the video signal is being lost for a second and returns. The easiest thing to try is to replace the connection cable (video). A bad connection there could cause this although moving the cable should make this happen at will. Check the DVd player on another TV if possible. If hte player is the cause, the "new" TV should show the same symptoms.

The only other possibility is that the DVD player is having a problem generating the video signal. This could be because the disc is not being read correctly (I would expect the sound to be effected as well) or the video processing section of hte DVD player is defective. This wil be a bit more difficult to find.

Can you try the cable and other TV and update this?

Thanks,
Dan

You have to bypass the parking brake. you do this by running the yellow black srtriped wire to the negative poularity of the parking brake wire.

DVD player wont show picture

to turn it off select connection method 3 above and progressive scanning mode, to set the mode, set progressive to off in the display menu so that the p scan indicator light on the front panel goes out. do all of this in interface mode. you can also do this by pressing and holding PLAY > on the front of the unit for more than 5 seconds, still watch for the p scan indicator to go off. this works best when the unit is connected directly to the television.

My DVD player, stopped playing in color!

check to see if the coding is set to PAL or NTSC, when watching in PAL, NTSC shows up in black and white. ( NTSC is normal for the USA and a hand full of other countries... PAL is used in ASIA, EUROPE, and most everywhwere else).

Video input from dvd player shows as black screen w/ squigly color lines

have you tried other devices for input...vcr, or other dvd players to see if it is a problem with the player or with the tv? Check the output setting for the dvd player (1080i etc) and ensure you are connecting to the proper inputs for either analog or digital signals (RCA inputs or RGB).
