Dear Costmer, Go to the "Start" menu, then choose "Settings," "Control Panel" and "Regional and Language Options." Click the "Languages" tab, then the "Details" button, the "Settings" tab and the "Add" button. Choose an input language from the list. You can choose ANY language. For example, if English (US) is the "input language," check the "Keyboard layout/IME" box to select the US-International English keyboard from the list. Click "OK" and close the input window. A language indicator should appear in the System Tray (the area in the bottom right hand corner of the desktop). Switch between input languages by pressing the "Alt" and "Shift" keys simultaneously. Click "Apply" to finish the process and finalize your choices. You shouldn't need the Windows installation CD for this process. [email protected]

This is supposed to be impossible, but there is a way to do it. Unscrew the case, locate the CMOS backup battery, remove it. Leave it out for a minute or so as to allow the capacitors enough time to discharge. Restore the CMOS battery to it's original position, screw the case back together, and power on the computer. Your BIOS password should be removed. Keep in mind that this will also restore all BIOS settings to factory defaults.

What percent (%) has it stopped charging at? Some lenovo's stop at about 60%.

Is the cord and Battery the EXACT same power spec? If so, it may be the AC jack in the Laptop has been damaged due to pulling on the cord while plugged in, broken connection.

In what? If you open the Lenovo supplied webcam software does it work? CyberLink ? Check Device Manager, Imaging Devices, is it enabled? driver up to date?

Does the laptop work on AC ? Is the battery or cord/charged a replacement? First, try another cord/charger of the EXACT same specs as original. Second, Is the battery good? How old? Over 4 years? Have it tested. Beware of inexpensive aftermarket batteries and cord/chargers. I assume the laptop works on AC? If you unplug the AC , with battery in, the laptop shuts down immediately?

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. This sounds like a hard drive issue, if you have a windows backup disc try a fresh install, no luck! remove hardware and reseat back in place, this will sometimes solve the problem, no change! have the hard drive tested.

go to download.com and download ccleaner, this will clean out all junk from the hard drive, next download smart defrag from the same location and defrag the hard drive. Both programs should improve performance, next check to see how many programs start up when windows start, if there are to many it greatly slows the shutdown time and some cases stalls, remove any programs not needed.

Based on the error code, this issue has to dowith an external Hard drive working at high stress levels. Are you trying to run the games from a secondary HD? If so, try removing them and installing them on the primary HD.

You need to enable it at the Bios. Reboot the computer and press the button that will lead you to the BIOS menu of the motherboard. Go to System configuration and go to actions keys mode. Press enter then select "ENABLED". Save settings before you exit then test the issue.

it migt be turn off. try to press Fn + F1 + F2 + F3 + F4 + F5 + F6 + F7 + F8 + F9 + F10 + F11 + F12 to turn OFF or to turn ON. or you may go to BIOS to turn it on from there.

Check your laptop keys for symbols - usually printed at the bottom of the f keys. If your laptop has a FN button or something similar, you may have mistakenly disabled the speakers WITHOUT muting the sound in Windows.

I think it would be better if you order the bottom base cover for the machine, because the bottom base cover have the power port connector installed with it and its connected to the Motherboard, the power port is not built-in to the Motherboard for the model of your machine.

try to press Fn+esc then it should open the bluetooth window..if not try to install latest driver fro bluetooth in http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers.html just enter your serial number there..
