KitchenAid KFP750 Food Processor - Page 2 Questions & Answers
The spindle (middle thingie) is broken
I don't know about the little lip you're referring to, but the central spindle that comes up from the base of our KitchenAid 12 cups food processor KFP750WH0 splintered and broke while we were using it. We ordered a replacement motor sleeve shaft part number KA8211849 from the Gourmet Depot for $4.95 plus $3.50 s/h. Removing the broken plastic sleeve shaft was the difficulty; it isn't glued or screwed on but somehow it didn't want to be pulled, pried, or cut off. With the help of our neighbor fix-it man and all four of us working at it with screwdrivers, we got the old broken part up and off. Pushing the new one onto the metal motor shaft was easy, and it was fixed!
I am unable to remove the disc stem
There is no mechanism to lock the stem onto the base of the KFP750. It's just held on by gravity, so you're not missing anything simple!
It's possible that the soap dust got in there and glued in on. Take a blow dryer or very hot rag (use tongs!) to the stem to see if you can soften the soap, then pull up the stem.

Attachment stuck on shaft of food processor
put the mixing bowl up as much as possible. spray some wd40 into the groove between the attachement and the motor shaft. Wait for several minutes, then with a hammer and a piece of wood, give the bowl a good wack. With a few goes, it will gradually come off. I will be putting some butter inside the attachement from now on to keep it lubricated
The motor popped when I
All the adapter did was enable you to put 240VAC straight into your 110/120VAC coffee maker. You needed a step down transformer to drop the voltage from 240 to 120 VAC. This is not what you wanted to hear but you have damaged your coffee maker substantially by using the wrong voltage. Also the US version is designed for 60 HZ power vs AU 50 Hz power unless stated otherwise on the input power data plate. Damage that has probably taken place: 1. Motor PN 82118372. Relay and Switch assembly PN: 8212011. . 3. Capacitor PN 8211608Cost to repair... will be close to total replacement value due to shipping costs & customs of replacement partsThanks for choosing FixYa, Kelly
Can't disassemble the cutting blade
Hi
Try and use a screwdriver and apply pressure equally to both sides of the bowl with the blade that's stuck, a push from under the bowl will do the trick. If this doesn't help then there maybe something stuck or jammed in between the shaft, soak the bowl in hot water for a while and try the above trick again. Please check the below links for exploded schematics of your food processor--

Bowl handle doesn't make connection
I had this problem, I finally stuffed a tiny piece of tin foil into the hole the spring is supposed to go into to activate the machine. It works, but it is always on, even if the bowl is not locked into place so I have to be careful. I just store it unplugged.
We can`t disasemble it with
All of the blades "lock" (rest in a groove) when rotated clockwise. This is so they'll stay put when in operation. When you take the bowl out with a blade in, you're moving the pair in a clockwise direction. So, you lock the blade in, thus locking the bowl down. Either remove the blade first by rotating it counter clockwise, then up or move the blade back 1/10th of a turn after rotating the bowl as far as it will go clockwise.
